Adding Rational Numbers with Decimals

This document provides instructions for students on how to add decimals by lining up the decimal points, filling in zeros if needed, and adding the columns from right to left. It then gives examples for students to practice and establishes that the class will be divided into groups to work through similar problems, present their answers, and discuss efficiently summing decimals. Finally, students are assigned to research operations of subtraction, multiplication and division for rational numbers in fraction and decimal form.
