Components of methods engineering
 Methods engineering or work study is a branch of industrial
engineering specializing in the analysis of methods and the
improvement and standardization of methods, equipment, and
working conditions.
 Method study is systematic recording and critical examination of
existing and proposed ways of doing work, as a means of developing
and applying easier and more effective methods and reducing cost.
 Work measurement is the application of techniques designed to
establish the time for qualified worker to carry out a specific job at a

defined level of performance.
