Corporate Social Responsibility Overview

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) means that businesses operate in a manner that is ethical and contributes to economic development and improving quality of life. While some argue that the only responsibility of businesses is to increase profits, CSR involves businesses operating responsibly with employees, communities, and society. CSR goes beyond legal and economic obligations and involves businesses making decisions and evaluating outcomes using ethical standards in addition to profitability.
