SELF – CONCEPT

Ideal self- is the self that you aspire


to be.
Actual self- is one that you actually
see. It is the self that has
characteristics that you were
nurture or, in some cases, born to
have.
Self-concept-refers to your
awareness of yourself.
Self- knowledge is derived from
the social interactions that provide
insight into how others react to
you.
Self- image- is it the actual self
PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS
Personal effectiveness – making use of all
personal resources – talents, skills, energy
and time to achieve life goals.

Innate characteristics:
Talent – must be used in a particular subject
area
Experiences
Knowledge – for setting goals, defining an action
plan to achieve them and risk assessment
Skills vs Habit
SKILLS THAT INCREASE EFFICIENCY OF A PERSON
Determination – developed through self –
discipline
Self – confidence – positive attitude and beliefs
Persistence - developed through self – discipline
Managing stress –
Problem-solving skills – adopting new ways and
new experiences
Creativity –
Generating ideas -
