Introduction to Science by Anusha Ravindran

Science is the search for knowledge about how things around us work. It has advanced areas like transportation, communication, agriculture, construction and medicine, making lives easier and more comfortable. Careers in science include teachers, doctors, engineers and nurses. While experiments in laboratories can be interesting, some chemicals are dangerous and safety precautions must be taken. The scientific method involves determining what we want to find out, making a hypothesis, systematically investigating to test the hypothesis, and deciding which conditions to change during the investigation.
