Malaysian Smart School is a learning
institution that has been systemically
reinvented in terms of teaching-learning
practices and school management.
Smart school also build knowledge
about ICT in teaching and learning
during the learning session.
To produce a knowledge society that is
critical, creative and innovative.

THE WAY TO ACHIEVE


SMART SCHOOL IN
MALAYSIA

Teaching and learing


through ict
All the teachers and students were
advised to use ICT in their teaching
and learining session for example :
a) Use computer and projecter in
classes.
b) Use interactive CD that been
provided in classes.
c) Build computer labs to increase the
ICT utilization

BUT THERE ARE


SEVERAL
CHALLENGES THAT
MALAYSIA HAD FACED

NEGATIVE ATTITUDE OF
TEACHERS
Teachers have been adapted with old
methods of learning and teaching
and difficult to accept a new
technology.
Problems to cooparate with seniors
teachers because their mentality are
different.

LACK OF
INFRASTRUCTURE
The computer labs that had been
build have limited number of
computers, LCD and projector. This
will make some of the students not
able to use the facilities.
Teachers compete to one another to
use computer lab.

LACK OF TRAININGS
The teachers cannot teach the
student to use all the facilities of ICT
because lack of training.

The trainings that had been done to


the teachers are not effective.

LESS COOPERATION WITHIN


STUDENT AND PARENTS.
Parents are not supporting students
at home when they are about to use
the technologies at home.
Parents not provide the better
environment and upgrading the life
for their children.
