Infocube Administration
Administration / Managing of Infocube
The Manage function allows
you to display the contents of
the fact table or the content with
selected characteristics values.
You can also repair and
reconstruct indexes.
Delete requests that have been
loaded with errors, roll up
requests in the aggregates, and
compress the contents of the fact
table.
There are Six tab pages Which
can be accessed by clicking on
Manage option from context
menu on the infocube in RSA1.

The Fact Table displays a list of all
the dimension keys and the key figure
for the individual transaction data
records (content of the fact table)
Use Selective Deletion to delete from
the infocube any data records.
Example: If you select the customer
with customer number XXXX all the
data records that contain this value are
deleted from the Infocube.

InfocubeAdministrationRequestTab
Displays Load information, such as when/by source, Target, No. of records loaded,
Load type etc.
All the data requests that have been loaded into the infocube are displayed on the
request tab.
You delete requests from here as required.
Information on whether the request have been aggregated already is displayed here
You can also see whether the request have been compressed or have been
scheduled for deletion
You can restrict the number of requests that is displayed by specifying a period of time
in the request display row.
The status (red, yellow, or green light) of data load is displayed.
Each request has its own unique request number (request ID).
System uses the request ID (unique key generated by the
system itself) to keep
chronological history of all the updates that have taken place.
Request IDs use to identify the specifics where the error occurred
This Tab provides the Information about all requests run in Infocube

Rollup Tab
Filling the aggregates with delta loads is called as rollup
Here we have an option Compress after rollup, if you check this check box
after completing the rollup, compression will be started
Infocube Administration Compression Tab
Compression is moving the data from F fact table to E fact table by losing
its request numbers.
Compression conserves memory space
performance when the data is being read.
and
improves
system
Technically, compressing an Infocube sets all-or just the older load
request IDs to initial.
Data records with identical dimension keys are aggregated.
If you want to avoid the Info Cube containing entries whose key figures
are zero values (in reverse posting for example) you can run a zeroelimination at the same time as the compression. In this case, the entries
where all key figures are equal to 0 are deleted from the fact table.
Note: SAP recommends that you compress the InfoCube as soon as you know that the
request has been loaded correctly and that it will not need to be deleted from the infocube
again.
Infocube Administration Compression Tab
InfocubeAdministrationReconstructTab
The Reconstruct function restores requests that have been loaded into the
infocube and then deleted.
It retrieves data from PSA and load in to data target
Note: The reconstruct tab only works for Infocubes loaded with 3.X data flow objects.
