Uniqueness of Apparel Processes
Due to seasonal nature of the Apparel Business , huge lead
time is required for the sales order processing
A normal material does not have much significance nor is
useful as the other features like size, color and other
characteristics are important
All the order processing would be at schedule line level instead
of item level in the standard ERP solution
Due to the above necessity, schedule line has more
significance in this industry process
SAP AFS Solution - Highlights

To store and handle the unique material characteristics in the
apparel like size, color etc. special Master Data consisting of
Grids, Categories are present
Due to the above requirement, SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is
different than the normal ECC solution
The above unique master data consisting of Grids, Categories
handles huge amount of SKU data effectively than Std.
Variants
As SKU and other information are processed at schedule line
level, it stores more than just the delivery dates as in Standard
ECC
Only remaining SAP Industry Add-on Solution outside the ECC
6.0 framework due to all the above unique reasons

customers require very unique packaging or
additional services done on them.
Need a mechanism to assign or incorporate these
additional services and also need to calculate the
cost incurred for the same in order to determine
