Hydrological cycle
What are the uses of water? Brainstorm how the earth never runs out of water when it is used for many things Tell learners to take notes on their worksheets on the important terms and vocabulary needed to understand the water cycle
Learners will be able to explain the hydrological cycle / water cycle Learners will be able to diagram the hydrological cycle / water cycle Learners will be able to understand the importance of hydrological cycle / water cycle
(i) where does rain come from and how did all water get up into the sky? (ii) where do all the puddles go after rain? (iii) what is the stuff that fogs up a window when you breath onto it?
formally introduce the lesson of water cycle as the closed process.
* Evaporation when the sun heat up water in rivers or lakes or dam or oceans and turns it into vapour or steam the water vapour or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. * Transpiration is the process by which plants loose water out of their leaves The two processes above is called evapotranspiration. Condensation water vapour in the air gets cold and changes into liquid, forming clouds. Precipitation is when so much water has condensed that air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow. Collection when water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land. When it ends up on land, it will either be absorbed into the earth and become part of groundwater.
, is the transfer of moisture from the earths surface into the atmosphere in the form of water vapour. , the loss of water from leaves of plants. Condensation, is the change of state of water vapour back into water droplets as the temperature decreases. , is any form of water such as rain, snow, sleet or hail that falls to earths surface. , is the flowing (surface run-off) of rain water back to the oceans, lakes or dams.
What is evapotranspiration? What impacts evapotranspiration? What are the processes of evapotranspiration? When does condensation occur? Why is there condensation? What' s the different between Aldol condensation and Claisen condensation? How do you see condensation? What is precipitation? What causes precipitation to occur? How do you get precipitation? Water that returns to the atmosphere through evaporation and plant transpiration is called evapotranspiration? True or false How does the water flow in a river?
Transpiration is trees giving in water clouds their leaves in the form of gas. Human activities. Evaporation is the movement of water from atmosphere to the lakes. It occurs when a liquid changes into a gas. Condensation is a milk that people use to drink or bake with it. Condensation occurs when cows eat. Condensation is seen when you boil water. Precipitation is when water vapour change into liquid. Heat evaporates water changes into the gas and goes to the atmosphere. precipitation is caused by evaporation of water. Where a river is flowing into the sea with a pressure.
Transpiration is tree sweat ,so trees giving off water from their leaves in the form of gas. Will We Reunite? We were lovers together in this world , then something went wrong we used to be so good together. Evaporation (E) from the hydrological point of view, is the process in which water from open water surfaces (oceans, seas, lakes) It occurs when a gas changes into a liquid ,. Condensation is a natural phenomenon . Condensation is a change of state process between the vapour and liquid states of matter Aldol condensation is the reaction of two aldehydes in the presence of a basic catalyst .The aldol condensation leads to an aldol Condensation may be seen for example on a mirror when you mist it with your breath .[There is an instrument for measuring ] Precipitation is any form of water such as rain ,snow ,sleet or hail that falls to earths surface . Heat evaporates water and that water vapour becomes a solute in the solvent called the atmosphere .When the atmosphere cant hold anymore water vapour ,the vapour condenses back into liquid water and falls to earth . Precipitation is caused by current conditions in the atmosphere ,the molecules found in clouds ,and the water cycle . The simple answer is downhill .Where a river is tidal it will be prevented from reaching the sea at high tide and will fill ,being released as the tide falls .In steeper areas of the course of a river there may be rapids or cataracts .In larger rivers in lowland areas there may be meandering .
In conclusion the hydrological cycle is a closed system which means that in this system cannot be supplemented, but keeps on circulating. Water moves in a cycle between the oceans, atmosphere and land masses. The driving force of the hydrological cycle is the heat energy from the sun. This energy causes evaporation and leads to condensation, clouds formation and precipitation.
