TRIANGLE
-is a three-side ruler which typically has
three equal sides meeting at a 90-
degree angle and a third side at 30, 45,
and 60-degree angle and used for
making vertical lines with the aid of T
Square.
COMPASS
It is used for drawing arcs and
circles and is similar to a divider, it
is composed of one with a pen leg
and the needle point being held
together.
DIVIDER
It is used when transferring
measurement, and dividing lines, and
arcs into the desired number of equal
parts, it can easily transfer accurate
measurement by adjusting the divider
points.
PROTRACTOR
It is a semi-circular instrument divided
into 180 equal parts, each of which is
called degrees. It is used to
determine the graduation of the
degrees when measuring arcs and
circles.
FRENCH
CURVE
It is used to draw mechanical
curves other than circles or
circular arcs.
PENCIL
The most important tool a
draftsman used for sketching
and made of graphite with
kaolin clay.

Pencil grades are the letters and
numbers you’ll often see on the end of
a pencil, for example, HB or 2B.
These grades help artists and
illustrators know how hard or soft and
how dark or light a graphite pencil is.
The H in pencil grades stands for
hardness, and the B stands for
blackness. The harder a pencil lead
is, the lighter the lines they produce
will be. Conversely, softer leads make
darker marks and thus fall into the ‘B’
side of the HB Graphite Scale.
TEMPLATES
It is used to draw any ordinary drafting
symbols or repetitive features, also
used for hexagons or for bolt nuts,
and circle thread forms.
ERASER
It is used to clean the dirt
of the drawing
MASKING
It is used forTAPE
fastening the drawing
paper on the drawing table or
drawing board.
TRIANGULAR
SCALE
It is used when reproducing a
drawing in an enlarged or
reduced version to some regular
position.
DRAWING or DRAFTING
TABLE
It provides a large top to suit various
projects, such as sketching, crafting,
and writing. It is a great tool for
anyone who needs a wide surface.
