Windows Settings - PC Settings, used to adjust
preferences, configuration of operating system.
Control Panel – Provides the ability to view and
change system setting.
ex- control of user account, change
accesibility, accessing network, audio and video
drivers.

Start >Settings>Personalization>Background

PC Settings>System>Sound>Sound Control Panel
Concept of Menu – A set of options presented to
the user to help them find information or
execute a function. Also used in speech
recognition.
Right Click of Mouse – To provide additional
information or properties of an item selected.
Left Click of Mouse – Referred as “regular click”
Most of the task are accomplished slowly by
using the left click. It is also used to drag on
the screen.
CREATING A SHORTCUT
 Right click on the program/file
 Select open file location
 Right click the program name
 Click – Send to desktop
A program shortcut has been created.
NOTEPAD
 Generatic Text Editor
 Allows to open and read plaintext files with .txt
file extension.
How to Open Notepad in Windows 10 & 11
 Press Windows Key
 Type Notepad in Search file
 Click the notepad program in the search result.
How to create a text file using notepad
 Open Notepad
 Type the text you want in the file.
 Save the file by clicking file and selecting save.
How to Print a Notepad document
 Open the document you want to print.
 In the file menu, click File and select Print.
 Select the Printer that you want to use to print the
document.
