Question 1
Draw five lines of each linetypes shown in figure Q1. The lines are to be parallel, the length of all linetypes is
120 mm and the spacing between them is 10 mm.

a) Taking the bottom left corner of an A3 portrait page as the origin, draw a square having the left-
bottom corner located at 100, 270 from the origin. The dimensions of the square are 100 mm x 100
mm. Draw a circle within this square equidistant from all sides of the square and having a diameter
of 70 mm. Name this drawing as SQUARE-CIRCLE.
b)
i. Draw the triangle and a hexagon shown below.
ii. Reduce the tringle by a scale factor of 3 and name it TRIANGLE.
iii. Enlarge the hexagon by a scale factor of 2 and name it POLYGON. Write down the scale under
each name.

your drawing.

b) Draw the casting mould shown in Figure Q3(b) using freehand techniques and insert the dimensions.
