COMPLEX SENTENCES

Basic Structure of Complex Sentences


Complex Sentence = Main Clause + Subordinate Clause (with conjunction)
= মূল বাক বা ধান কাজ+অিতির অথ ( conjunction সহ )

Structure:
1. Conjunction at the start:
2. [Subordinate Clause] + , + [Main Clause]
উদাহরণ: Although I am tired, I study.
3. Conjunction in the middle:
[Main Clause] + [Conjunction] + [Subordinate Clause]
উদাহরণ:I study although I am tired.

মেন রাখার িবষয়:


 Subordinate clause একরকম extra info / reason / time / contrast দয়।
 Main clause হেলা মূল বাক যা ধান কাজ/statement বাঝায়।
 Subordinate clause ছাড়া sentence complete meaning পায় না।

Conjunction অনুযায়ী Structure


Conjunction Meaning / Use Example
Because Reason I am happy because I passed.
Since Reason / time Since it is raining, we stay home.
As Reason / time I stayed home as it was raining.
When Time I smile when I see her.
While Time / contrast I listen to music while I study.
Though Contrast Though he is poor, he is honest.
Although Contrast I go outside although it is raining.

Step-by-Step Formula (Easy Version)


1. Decide main idea → এটা Main Clause হেব।
2. Decide extra info → এটা Subordinate Clause হেব।
3. চক কেরা কান conjunction লাগেব (reason, time, contrast)।
4. বসাও sentence এ → েত বা মােঝ।
5. Comma ব বহার কেরা যিদ subordinate clause আেগ আেস।
