Registration Process

1. Information Centre: the whole process of registration is explained to the


parents/guardians/learners.
a. Registration fee is R1,000.00 (Non-refundable)
b. Monthly fee is R470.00 per subject month (e.g. if a learner is registering one Subject then
the fee will be R470 per month, if they are registering two subjects then the fee is R940.00
per month, if its three subjects then it will be R1,410.00 per month. etc.)
c. Payment Methods
i. EFT: You can transfer using the banking App then send us the proof of payment
(learner’s names must be used as reference)
ii. Bank Deposit: you can deposit at the bank or ATM (Learner’s Names must be used
as reference)
iii. Speed point: We have a speed point machine at our centre when you can swipe
and a receipt will be given to you)
iv. Cash: You can pay cash at our centre and a receipt will be given to you)
2. What you get after registration
a. A branded LiMSA t-shirt
b. Resource pack for each subject registered
c. Full access to the school’s computer lab (Only for school/research purposes, applications
for higher institutions of learning and bursaries)
3. Attendance
a. Personal timetables will be given to learners and will also be on school notice boards
b. There will be attendance registers, which learners need to sign on daily basis to track their
attendance and absenteeism.
c. Parents need to notify the school of a learner being absent on the same day (not a day
later) and state the reason for the learner being absent.
d. Learners will be required to be school from 07h30am to 15h15pm, irrespective of the
number of subjects that a learner registered. E.g. if a learner is upgrading Mathematics
only and they attend it in the morning, they are not allowed to go home until the stipulated
knock off time which is 15h15pm.
e. Late coming will not be tolerated. if a learner comes to school late, they will be returned
home and they will be marked absent on the attendance register.
4. Break/Lunch time
a. Learners have a hour every day for lunch (which is stipulated on their timetables)
5. Personal Files
a. Each and every learner will have a personal file which will contain of the following
documents:
i. 2 Certified copies of statement of results
ii. 2 certified copies of ID Document/Smart ID card
iii. 1 certified copy of parent’s or guardian ID (The one who’s responsible for
payments)

iv. Disciplinary report document (To report on any misconduct or disciplinary issue)
v. Applications register (To show which institutions of higher learning or bursaries that
a learner has applied to)
6. Consultation registers
a. Each educator will have a consultation register for one on one consultation (Learners are
given an opportunity to consult with their educators on topics that they did not fully
understand in class, this is done when the learners and educators are free from their
classroom duties)
b. These are recorded in the register.
7. Dress code
a. A branded LiMSA t-shirt will be given to learners which they are required to wear on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday they can wear their clothes but
ensure that are dressed decently.
b. Learners are required to dress appropriately for school (No Mini-skirts, leggings, crop-tops,
vests)
8. Duration
a. The duration of the program is divided into 2:
i. February to June: for learners who will be writing supplementary exams NSC and
for learners who will be writing Amended Senior Certificate (ASC)
ii. February to December: Learners who will be writing their exams at the end of the
year.
9. School Fees
a. School Fees payments are prepaid, meaning that they must be paid at the beginning of the
month. E.g. Fees for February must be paid within the first week of February.
b. If a learner does not pay school fees, they will be suspended from attending lessons until
fees for that month are paid.
10. Excursions
a. There will be educational excursions which are a great benefit to expanding learner’s
horizons, there will a fee which will be communicated in due course.
11. Paper
a. Each learner must bring a rim of typek paper per term.
12. Educational camps
a. It is compulsory for a learner to attend the spring enrichment camp which will be during the
Sep/Oct holidays. The fee is R2,000.00 only.
