Title: Survival, Hope and Imagination: A Review of Life of Pi

The book Life of Pi is about a teenage boy from India, called Pi, who travels across the
Pacific Ocean in a lifeboat. His companion in the lifeboat is a tiger with whom he was
stranded in the ocean for a sea adventure.
At the start of the book, we learn about the appealing character Pi’s childhood in India.
His father is a zookeeper, Pi helps his father in the zoo and learn to look after the
[Link] Pi is 16, his family decide to close the zoo and move to Canada. They
sell some animals to zoos and take the remaining with them on a ship to Canada. On
the way, there is a terrible storm and the ship [Link], Pi’s family and the ship’s
sailors die in the storm .
Pi luckily finds himself on a lifeboat with few animals and a tiger to survive . The animals
in the lifeboat kill and eat each other, till only Pi and the tiger are left [Link] tries to use
his knowledge of animals from the zoo to control the tiger and survive.
Pi and the tiger spend days in the lifeboat together and live through terrible conditions of
the [Link] the story,Yann Martel gives the readers opportunities to guess
and judge, only to be proven wrong in the next scene. You will have to read the book to
find out what happens at the end of the book! I think it's an excellent book and would
recommend this book to all the young readers to read once.
