2. This Question Paper is divided into 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.

each.

car for 13 hours and paid Rs 250. If Amish parked his car at the station from 8:00 AM to 3:00
PM, find the total parking charges paid by Amish.

36 Tushara took a pack of 52 cards. She kept aside all the black face cards and shuffled the [4]
remaining cards well. Then she picked any card randomly from the shuffled cards. Based on the
above information answer the following questions.
(i) Write the number of total possible outcomes. (1)
(ii) She draws a card from the well-shuffled pack of remaining cards. What is the probability
that the card is a face card? (1)
(iii) Write the probability of drawing a black card. (2)

37 Dinesh is building a greenhouse as shown below. The base of the greenhouse is cylindrical with [4]
diameter 14m and height 2m, also a hemispherical dome at the top of it.
(i) What is the area of the base of the greenhouse. (1)
(ii) Find the ratio of the area of the walls and the hemispherical top. (1)
(iii) If the cost of plastic is Rs. 10 per sq. m, then find the total cost to cover the walls and the
hemispherical top with plastic cover. (2)

38 The three vertices of a parallelogram PQRS are P(2, −3), Q(6, 5) and R(−2, 1). [4]
