Chem

The document describes various geometric transformations including reflection, enlargement, translation, and rotation. It provides specific examples for each transformation, such as reflecting Shape A in the line y=-3, enlarging with a scale factor of 5, translating with a vector, and rotating 90 degrees clockwise around a center of rotation. Key terms like mirror line, center of enlargement (CoE), and center of rotation (CoR) are emphasized for clarity.

Describe Transformations

Reflection
Shape x is reflected in the mirror line (y=x, y=-x, y=5, x=5 etc)

Shape A is reflected in the mirror line y=-3

REMEMBER , if the line is y=anything, then the line intersects the x axis
and vice versa
Musts: mirror line
Enlargement

Point where blue intersect is CoE

Num of square between 2 points is SF

So write:
Shape A is enlarged with a scale factor of 5, CoE is (-3,0)*
*Prob wrong
Musts: Scale factor and CoE
Translation

Shape a is translated with vector

Musts: vector

Rotation

eg
Shape A is rotated 90 degrees clockwise, around CoR (2,0)

Ps. if rotated 180 degrees, you do not have to write the
direction(clockwise, counter clockwise aka anti clockwise)
So here,
Shape A is rotated 90 degrees clockwise with CoR of (3,0)
Musts: CoR, direction (not for 180 ofc), how many degrees rotated.
