Solution
" POLICE " will be written as - " QPMJDF ". Hence, 'c' is the
correct option.
It is given that - " STORE " is written as " TUPSF " and "
WOULD " is written as " XPVME ".
Here, we can see that each of the letters in both the words
are replaced by the succeeding letter in the English
alphabets.
Therefore-
"POLICE" will be written as - " QPMJDF ".

Directions: In each question a group of letters is given which is followed by four combinations of digits /
symbols. Two or more letters can be assigned with the same code as per the given coding system. You
have to find out which of the combination correctly represents the group of letters based on the following
coding system. If none of the four combinations correctly represents the group of letters, mark E, i.e.
‘None of these’ as the answer.

Letters L G T E F K C A M W I N K O
Symbols/Numbers 4 & \ 7 3 8 ! 4 < } ? > 3 =

Conditions:

I. If 2nd and 4th letters of the group are consonants, then both should be coded as ‘&’.

II. If 1st and 5th letters of the group are vowels, then the codes for both letters should be interchanged.

Note: If no condition applies, then write the codes as it is. If more than one condition applies, then apply them as
per ascending order.

answer. If none of the four combinations correctly represents the group of letters, mark E, i.e. ‘None of
these’ as the answer.

Conditions:

I. If both the 1st and the last letters of the group are consonant, the 1st and last letters are to be coded by
the code of 3rd and 2nd letter respectively.
II. If the 2nd letter is a vowel and the 4th letter is a consonant, their codes are to be interchanged.
III. If a letter is repeated in the word, then those letters are to be coded by the codes of 2nd next letter in
the word respectively. For eg., in the word "Adding", 'd' is repeated, so as per the the coding and this
condition , 1st 'd' is to be coded as per the code of 'i'(2nd next letter in the word) and 2nd 'd' is to be
coded as per the code of 'n'(2nd next letter in the word).
Note: If no condition applies, the write the codes as it is.
If more than one condition applies, then apply the latter condition and derive the code.
