Small Scale Model

The Small Scale Model consists of two circuits: a primary circuit with an AC power supply and a secondary circuit with an inductive coupling between two coils. The primary circuit measures voltage and current, while the secondary circuit displays the output voltage on Scope 2, which varies with changes in the resonant frequency. The optimal resonant frequency for achieving a stable output voltage of 3V is determined to be 39926 Hz.

Small Scale Model :

Small Scale Model basically consists of 2 circuits .

One is the Primary circuit and the other one is the secondary circuit . It doesn’t consist of the
Rectifier circuit as shown above in the circuit diagram .

So basically the primary circuit consists of and AC power supply ( AC Voltage Source ) and a
pair of measurements of current and voltage . It even consists of a scope called scope 1 which
displays the graphical representations of the input signal passed from the AC voltage source .
This voltage is further passed onto the L1 and C1 together which is called as the compensation
network , this voltage passes through the compensation network and is then passed onto the
primary coil which is represented by the number 1 .

The secondary coil which is denoted by the number 2 is in the secondary circuit . Due to the
inductive coupling that takes place between the two coils , the voltage is further passed onto the
Current and the Voltage measurement blocks where this output Voltage is observed at the
Scope 2 , this final voltage is obtained due to the presence of the Load resistance having the
value in our circuit as 1 Ohm .

Graphical Explanations :

Wave at the Primary sided scope 1 :

In here the initial voltage that is supplied by the AC Voltage source is taken into consideration ,
the initial Value that is taken is 12V as shown in the graph .

To obtain the output waveforms we perform 3 different iterations with respect to the Resonant
Frequency that is being provided in the above small scale circuit .

Waveform at the Secondary Sided Scope 2 : 39926 Hz

So the first value of the Resonant Frequency that we give here is 39926 Hz

We consider this as the most accurate Resonant Frequency as we follow the basic concept of
the Resistance , Current and the Voltage rule which is specified as V=IR , R =V/I and I=V/R .

Since the resistance that we are considering here is 1 Ohm , we take this exact value of the
Resonant Frequency as 39926 Hz

At this particular Resonant Frequency the output at the load end is obtained as exactly 3V
Waveform at the Secondary Sided Scope 2 : 30000 Hz

So here since we have changed / reduced the value of the Resonant Frequency , we are getting
a variation in the output voltage as it is shown as completely reduced value of 0.3V .

Hence by this we can observe that if there is slight changes in the vale of the Resonant
Frequency from the initiated value of 39926 , the graph reduces .

Finally the third iteration to describe the change in the graphical representation

Waveform at the Secondary Sided Scope 2 : 50000 Hz

Here since the frequency that is being initiated is extremely from the actual Resonant
Frequency , the value of the graph is again changing

From the graph we can observe that the value of the secondary Sided Scope graph has
reduced from 3V to 1V . By this behaviour we can actually say that since there is slight
disturbance or varying of the Frequency , the Output Voltage gets fluctuated .

And hence the exact Resonant Frequency that we should take is 39926 Hz to obtain the output
Voltage of 3V.
