HOW TO USE THE BIBLE FOR A LESSSON FACILITATION

The teacher must give relevance sections of the bible this is in order so that the teacher may not
run out of teaching materials.

 Teach wrong facts or misleading information


 The teacher should give the references given in the teacher’s guide in order to detect any
shortcoming.
 After using the bible reference the teacher may decide to use more accurate human
experience than the one that is given.
 He must also use the books suggested during lesson preparation to check against the bible
content to ensure that the facts given are accurate.

The message of the book of Jonah is about Gods compassion which is bounded . Jonah the pagan
sailors and the Ninevites were beneficiaries of God compassion.

 She said her soul magnifies God.
 She also rejoiced in God her saviour.
 She said God had remembered her in her lowly state.
 She said that all generations will call will call her blessed.
 The Almighty God has done great things to her.
 She said that the name of lord is holy.
 That God’s mercy on those who fear him.
 God has scattered the proud and put down the mighty yet lifted those who are low.
 God has filled the hungry with good things but the rich he has sent away empty.
 God has fulfilled his promise to Abraham by helping Israel.

WHAT MAGNIFICAT REVEAL ABOUT THE NATURE OF GOD.

 God is a saviour because He remembers the lowly.


 God is mighty for He scatters the proud and does great things to the humble.
 God is merciful for those who fear Him.
 God is the provider because he feeds the hungry.
 God is caring because He exalts the humble.
 God is faithful because he keeps His promises.
 He is kind to His servant Israel.

THE MAIN IDEAS IN BENEDICTUS.

 Zachariah said John would be called the prophetic of the Most High.
 That John would be the herald of Messiah.
 John would call people for to repentance and forgiveness of sins.
 John would bring peace by showing people the Messiah, the light of world.
 Zachariah announced the beginning of the messianic age.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MAGNIFICAT AND BENEDICTIONS.

o Magnificat means glories while Benedictus means praise.


o Magnificat was song by Mary during the visit to Elizabeth while Benedictus was sang by
Zechariah after the birth of John.
o Magnificat was sang by Mary while Benedictus was sang by Zechariah.
o Magnificat is made up of one part; gratitude to God while Benedictus comprises of two parts;
the nature of God and the mission of John.
o Magnificat is concerned with the birth of the Messiah while the Benedictus is about the birth
of the forerunner.

SIMILARITIES BETWEEN MAGNIFICAT AND BENEDICTUS

 Both are praise songs.


 Both are poetic.
 Both give reference to the Old Testament texts.
 Both songs contain the missions of the children
 Both were sung by people who were filled with the Holy spirit.

THE BAPTISM OF JESUS.

 This was a public anointing so as Jesus can begin His public ministry.
 It prepared Him for the temptations in the wilderness.
 It was also to show willingness to follow the will of God and His plan for salvation of human

 To be introduced publicly as the son of God.
 To acknowledge the ministry of John the Baptist.
IMPORTANCE OF BAPTISM OF JESUS TO AS CHRISTIANS

 Christians are supposed to follow the example of Jesus Christ.


 Through baptism a person becomes a Christian and a member of the church.
 Through baptism one sins are forgiven.
 During baptism a person receives the Holy spirit who acts as the guide.
 It makes a person a child of God and a follower of Jesu Christ.
 Helps Christians identify themselves with Christ.
 It is a public declaration of our status as children of God.

 It makes a person a witness of Jesus who is ready to die for him.

They showed the loyalty of Jesus to God because He did not yield to any of them.
Jesus showed that there is power to overcome satun and even during his ministry the demons
recognised Him.
By overcoming the temptations Jesus became an example for Christians to emulate.
Jesus is able to understand us when we are faced with temptations.
Jesus showed His humility by refusing to worship the devil in exchange of power.
The temptations empowered Jesus to carry out His ministry.
Fasting and prayers helped Him overcome the temptations.
God provided help to Jesus to overcome temptations therefore Christians should rely on Gods
help when tempted.

RELEVANCE OF TEMPTATIONS TO CHRISTIANS.

 Just as Jesus overcame the temptations Christians can overcime with faith in God.
 Since Jesus was tempted he fully understands our difficulties when we are tempted He is ready
to assist.
 If Jesus was tempted and his disciples will also be tempted.
 Even if Christians are tempted it wont be beyond their strength.
 Through our temptations and trails our faith will be strengthened.

 By overcoming the temptations Jesus showed there is power to overcome satan and also
Christians has power to overcome temptations.

A. The trinity refers to the three persons in one: God the father, the son and the Holy spirit.

HOW A CHRISTIAN DEMONSTRATES THE LOVE TO NEIGHBOURS

 Showing compassion and kindness by comforting and encouraging people without


expecting anything in return.
 Helping those in needs such as feeding the hungry, care for kids.
 Forgiving others. Forgiveness is a powerful expression of love.
 Respecting and valuing others through avoiding discrimination and treating others fairly.
 Speaking the truth in love. Love involves honesty but must be expressed gently and
respectifuly.
 Living peacefully with others through promoting peace and avoiding unnecessary
conflicts.
 Praying for others. Christians should pray for wellbeing of others even those who oppose
them.
 Being a good example by living a life of integrity humility and obedience to God.
THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST.
 God forgive those who forgive others.
 God tolerates sinners and is ready to forgive them.
 God will not forgive everyone who is not ready to forgive others.
 God exalts the humble and brings down those who blasts about their goodness.

 Christians should forgive others the same way they seek forgiveness from God.
 All people are sinners and no one has a right to judge others.
