Abstract : Engineer’s Roulette is an interactive game designed to strengthen critical

thinking and problem solving skills. The game challenges participants to think in terms
of concepts, ideas, real world instances, and logical outcomes, thereby enhancing
analytical ability and decision making.

The game is inspired by the traditional board game Snakes and Ladders, however it
introduces a completely different and innovative approach. Engineer’s Roulette is
played on a digital board platform that includes a leaderboard, dice, spinner, and a
playing board numbered from 1 to 100.

Unlike conventional board games, Engineer’s Roulette does not include snakes or
ladders. Instead, each board position is associated with a color coded difficulty system.
The colors represent increasing levels of challenge, where green indicates the easiest
level, followed by yellow, then orange, and red representing the highest level of
difficulty.
When a player or team lands on any of the designated color coded tiles, they will be
assigned a technical or non technical task with a limited time duration. Successful
completion of the task will result in rewards such as additional steps forward on the
board and bonus credits. Failure to complete the assigned task within the given time
will lead to penalties, requiring the player or team to move backward on the board.

The primary objective of the game is to either reach level 100 on the board or
accumulate a sufficient number of credits to be declared a winner. Participants who
secure the first and second positions will qualify for the next round of the competition.
In the final round, the winner and runner up will be awarded exciting prizes.

Roulette Feature
In addition to the standard color coded tiles, a special black color code is introduced.
When a player lands on this tile, a roulette wheel will be spun, either physically or
virtually. The outcome of the roulette is unpredictable and intentionally unconventional.
Possible outcomes include swapping positions with other teams, awarding
extraordinarily high credits, deducting a significant number of credits, or assigning
tasks that range from extremely easy to inferno level difficulty. These outcomes may
result in tremendous rewards or severe penalties, including highly specific or niche
challenges.

The game also includes additional strategic features such as lifelines and passing
options, allowing teams to make tactical decisions during gameplay.

Detailed rules and guidelines will be shared one day prior to the event with participants
who have successfully enrolled. The roulette move further consists of multiple sub
games and side quests, adding depth, surprise, and engagement to the overall
experience.

Happy learning and stay motivated. We look forward to your participation in Engineer’s
Roulette.
