Education And Technology
According to a 2023 “Technology in schools” survey by (Edweek) 90% of teachers say
that technology helps them assess student learning more effectively, and 76% of students say that
technology makes learning more engaging. These statistics are quite encouraging. This proves
the bar for educational dynamics is getting higher and that the need for computer technology and
digital software is prevalent. Technological advancements make learning much easier by offering
interactive settings and simplifying school material.
Technology gives students the chance to learn in a more collaborative environment and
has reshaped the way they learn, as opposed to more traditional methods of the past. Computers,
software, and other digital tools assist teachers and facilitators with their jobs, which can
alleviate stress and make their jobs less difficult. Teachers can monitor their students’ progress
through the computer which definitely saves time and energy. They are able to focus more of
their attention on their students and give extra support to the ones who may need it. And rather
than going through or grading large stacks of paper which may be overwhelming, they have the
ability to assess their students much faster. “Technology has improved students' access to
resources and materials that could help them in the classroom.” With the assistance of online
platforms and websites, students can look up information that they would need anytime or place.
The burden of having to carry around multiple textbooks all day has been relieved. With the
power of a laptop, they have virtually all the information they would need from a textbook and

more. Technology can also bring a sense of equity to the learning community. Many who may
have been left out or marginalized from school for one reason or another, or even those who
simply did not want to partake in a classroom setting can now partake in and have a hand in their
education. Back and forth communication between the teachers and students has been made
possible through technology and teachers can provide instant feedback to their students.
Clarification on subject matter can be easily obtained, thus creating a more fluid educational
system.
With technology in classroom settings academic criteria is much simpler to understand,
which can create less anxiety in the classroom. Students also can readily know what’s expected
of them by just one click of a button. Ascertaining their assignments and grades can now be done
quickly and efficiently. Most, if not all their questions and ideas can be answered or critiqued
through online applications, chatting, or even A.I. bots. This reduces the chance for confusion or
uncertainty to arise. Students now also have the power of autonomy. “Students can have choices
on whether they want to do real time learning, or learn at their own pace.” Online classes are
available which can serve as a convenience to many people. Additionally, all students differ in
learning ability as well as speed at which they can comprehend material. It’s important to
recognize this and give us good reason to give take heed to the well known saying “to each his
own”. Technology is certainly a morale booster and can inspire a sense of confidence in young
individuals promoting good and healthy habits.
Technology is something that makes learning much more fun and enticing. Gamification
is a way of making school work into a game that can prove challenging , yet still be rewarding. It
can bring forth a much more positive attitude towards learning and even broaden their
perspectives. Virtual and augmented reality is a great way to interest those in academia as well.

So instead of feeling like a chore or obligation, school work can feel like a video game, or
something that may interest you to do. Also, when children are exposed to devices such as
smartphones and tablets this can increase their retention skills, which will undoubtedly prove
useful at a later stage in life. Technology is also something that can help improve one’s life and
disciplinary skills, as computers train students to be more organized and help them with time
management. Teacher creativity has become greatly enhanced, leaving them with endless
potential as educators.
In conclusion, the integration of technology and digital software into the educational
community is an effective approach to how we teach our students, by incorporating more
learning situations and by making school material easier to understand. We can now prepare
young minds for the ever-evolving modern world.
