DO NOT WORRY
The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy so for some of us he is stealing our JOY today with
our worrying about tomorrow.
He can’t kill us so he paralyzes us in a place, where the focus is on the problem and not on
the One who can fix the problem.
Worry, Fear, and anxiety are all weapons of the enemy to keep us from trusting in God and
KEEP us from walking by faith in Christ.
Worry is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.
It drains our joy and steals our peace.
When we worry, our minds get an unnecessary workout. We run through all the possible
outcomes of our situation. We jump to conclusions before getting all the facts. We weigh
ourselves down with all the “what-ifs.”
Worry is caused by not trusting God to take care of the situations in our lives.
BUT I’m here to tell somebody today that your worries do not change the character of God.
It’s understanding God’s character that changes how we handle our worries.
The Bible says in Phil 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
You see the enemy is not really after those tangible things that we see physically. He’s after
our peace of mind. When the car breaks down and you need parts after parts or the roof
starts leaking 2 weeks before Christmas, the dryer stops working, the burner on the stove not
lighting or Your position on work is threatened, as you’re looking ahead for 2026, the back
pay not happening, he’s targeting your faith and belief in God. The devil doesn’t drive and he
don't want to go to work so he doesn't need your car and he not baking no ham so he doesn’t
need a stove, he's not after your job he's just using those PHYSICALLY stuff to go after your
mind. For some of us He’s stealing our today with our worry about tomorrow. Worry
drains our joy.
But I’m here to tell you this morning, the Word of the Lord for you “Do NOT Worry”.
God knows what’s going on in your life. He cares about your situation. Matthew 6:32 says
“your heavenly Father knows” 1 Peter 5:7 says Cast all your cares upon Him because He
cares for you. It didn’t say some cares He says all cares. You have a father, who watches over
you, Do Not Worry
Matthew 6:25 says therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or
what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the
food, and the body than the raiment? 26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not,
neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not ye
of much more value than they? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not,
neither do they spin: 29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these. 30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-
morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Be not
therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall
we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father
knows that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Be not therefore anxious for
the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Do Not Worry
My sister and I have a joke, Solange is the only unemployed person in my home and you can
always get a dollar borrowed from her, or she’s always doing the most, recently shopping for
a coach bag… she has no worries because she has a father, she has a mother who watches
over her, who takes care of her, saints of God you have a heavenly Father who is more than
capable of taking Care of you. He’s Jehovah Jireh, He’s more than enough.
If he dresses the lilies with beauty and splendour, how much more does he love you
Sometimes we need to be reminded to not worry because God’s Got You.
This brings me to point #1 Do Not Worry because God always makes a way.
Let’s look at 2 Kings 4:1-7 It tells the account of a prophet's widow facing debt and potential
enslavement of her sons;
She’s at the end of her rope and do not know what to do. The word “cried” means “to moan;
to weep uncontrollably; to shriek out of grief.” This word identifies the sound of a broken
heart. This woman comes to the man of God at the lowest moment of her life. She is in
desperate straits! What do you do when it seems like YOUR over YOUR head in debt, your
health is failing, the children are behaving contrary, your marriage is falling apart and you
can’t see how YOU are going to make it. I’m here to tell you keep holding on. Hold on HOLD
ON HOLD ON!
Give it over to God, stop worrying about it and throw at the feet of Jesus. Watch God provide,
watch God take your little and multiple it till it overflows. She ran out of jars that she
borrowed, there was an overabundance of blessings. God will do exactly what He has
promised to do. All you need is oil in your vessel. The anointing oil that breaks yokes. All you
need is to trust in the one who holds it altogether. To have faith in the alpha and omega. His
promises are yea and Amen. I don’t know about you, but I hold on to the promises of God for
my life. I am blessed. Everything is working for my Good, both the good things and the bad
things they’re working for my good, the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases over me, they
are new every morning, because great is His faithfulness, His plans are to prosper me and
not to harm me. I will not worry, because thou the enemy comes in like a flood the spirit of
God will lift up a standard against him, because as I identified all along it seems like you’re
going under but you’re not because the devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may
devour, but I know the lion of the tribe of Judah he breaks every chain over my life. He can
break chains of poverty he can break chains of witchcraft; he can break chains of
generational curses. He breaks every chain. I WILL NOT WORRY.
Declare it in the atmosphere I will not worry
Point #2 Do Not Worry because the Enemy can come so far and no further. In the book of
Job chapter 1 there is an account of a servant of God, a righteous and upright man and the
Lord made a boast in Job. Just like what he does about you. In v8 He told the devil have you
considered my servant Job. The devil replied, “Does Job fear God for nothing?” 10 “Have you
not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the
work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now
stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man,
himself do not lay a finger.”
And we know the account, Job stood His ground, He knew who His Redeemer was. He said,
“Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked will I return there. The LORD gave, and
the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” In all this Job did not sin, and
he did not accuse God of wrongdoing.
In David and Goliath, we see Goliath mocking the children of God from afar off and the army
standing afar off in fear. Worry produces fear! it had the army paralysed. Worry had them
trapped, because what do you do when the problem appears so big that it blocks your vision
of who God is. You don’t know what to do or which way to turn. Spiritual goliaths that hinder
our purpose and destiny. Goliaths of worry, fear and anxiety that whispers you can’t handle
it. Goliaths that threaten your generations.
But David taught us how to deal with these goliaths in our lives, because he knew the Enemy
can come so far and no further. When everyone saw a giant too big to fight David saw an
opportunity to trust God. David had previous experiences that guided his knowledge of who
his God was. The bible says those who know their God ‘will worry”, NO those who know their
God shall be strong and do great exploits. He gets five smooth stones and his sling, things
he’s familiar with, THINGS HE USED BEFORRE. What are the tools you’re familiar with?
What’s your weapon of war? David chose 5 stones, why did he need 5 when the 1st one killed
goliath. You see David was prepared on the off chance the 1st stone didn’t get him he would
use a next one. He had gathered up stones of prayer, stones of praise & worship, stones of
speaking in tongues, stones of declaration and war. He was prepared because he wasn’t
going to let this goliath triumph over him. David knew that he wasn’t fighting in his own
strength. He was relying on God, because this battle belongs to the Lord. Because when they
saw a giant, David saw a hosts of angels. David knew that trusting in God doesn’t mean
sitting back and doing nothing, it means lacing up my Gideon booths, it means putting on my
backpack, cause is war. He knew he had backing; I walk with God the father I walk with God
the Son I walk with the Holy spirit. I will not worry because I know He will never leave me nor
forsake me, I will not worry because in my distress I call on the lord and he answers me. That
goliath may look big, but my God is bigger. I will not Worry because that Goliath can only
come so far and no further. The reason you're fighting what you're fighting right now is that
God's creating a stage for your promotion. Goliath was David’s entrance into his purpose and
destiny.
Because the greater the storm the greater the assignment if God trusts you with that level of
trouble you got to be somebody, you’re not a nobody, fight on.
Point #3 Do not worry because the Storm is there to build you.
Sometimes like Job, you didn’t cause the storm, and there are times when you decisions and
choices cause the storm in your live. But I’m here to tell you that we serve a God that can
Calm any storm in our lives. We serve a God that works all things for our good. We serve a
God that realigns, that fixes the detours we made in life.
I love the account of Mark 4:35-41. The bible says that a storm arose as they were crossing
over to the other side. We’re getting ready to cross over into 2026 and for some of us there
are storms that are happening in our lives that’s hindering our peace and joy and our
expectancy of what is about to do in our lives for 2026. Because the storm is raging and it
appears like if you’re drowning. The boat is filling up with water and you’re asking God when
am I going to get my breakthrough, you’re worrying about what 2026 will hold for you.
Remember you have Jesus in your vessel. Theres no storm he cannot CALM. The bible said
that Jesus was in the stern of the boat asleep on a pillow.
The stern of a boat is its rear or back end, It's a key area for propulsion and steering in many
vessels, and its design impacts stability, Often holding heavy engines and propulsion, the
stern's weight influences the boat's centre of gravity; proper stern design balances this
weight for level flotation. You’re not going to drown.
Jesus was in the area of the boat designed for keeping the boat afloat. I TOLD YOU Do not
worry God’s Got You. Nothing takes Him by surprise he was already prepared for the storm
so he could rest in the storm. Propulsion is the action of driving or pushing forwards.
Even when you can’t see it He’s working, He never stops working. He’s sleeping on a pillow
and keeping the boat afloat, He’s pushing you forward in the storm. You’re about to step into
something new you're about to come into another dimension you're about to come into
another Realm of the spirit and the reason all hell has broken loose is this is Satan's last
attempt to stop you from landing on dry ground, but the devil is a liar. Worry is not going to
diminish what God has in store for you.
Your storm is to take you to a deeper level in Christ. Your storm is to demonstrate a
manifestation of God’s glory in your life through you. The storm is a smoke screen because
there was no way that Jesus could be drowned not the one who said I come that you might
have life and have it more abundantly the very fact that Jesus is still with you is a sign that
you’re going to come through this storm alive.
I don't know how you're gonna make it out I don't know whether you're gonna float out on
pieces of wood I don't know if you're gonna float out on a raft. I don't know how you’re going
to coming out but as long as you got your anointing oil when all is said and done as long as
the presence of God is with you, you can smile at the storm. Rebuke that storm in your life,
let the devil know you had enough, drive him out of your promise land. Do not let that old
Devil steal your peace and joy and do not let your enemy enjoy your defeat. Be strong. Storms
pass, This too shall pass.
What struck me was these were his disciples and they still had not captured who Jesus was.
It also highlighted their unbelief, they were with Jesus everyday, seeing the miracles, seeing
God;s glory and yet they were fearful in the storm. IT MADE ME REALISE THAT we often limit
the authority we have in Christ. The disciples had the authority; they could have rebuked that
storm. They had the teachings; they had the knowledge.
You have what it takes inside of you to rebuke the storm. Luke 10:19 says Behold, I give unto
you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and
nothing shall by any means hurt you. Saints don't back up, some of you the enemy has you
backed up in a cornered, with worry and fear making you stagnant. Get off the ropes, Launch
off that rope, don't give in don't faint don't collapse you have the resurrection power at work
in you. You have the power to defeat the works of darkness over your life. Stop amplifying the
situation in your mind to make you think that it's worse than it really is and you panic because
the devil knows his storm can't take you out it's your fear and worry that's going to take you
out and what God is trying to teach you is not to panic, don not let worry cloud your vision,
keep your eyes on the one who can calm the storm. Keep your eyes on the author and finisher
of your faith.
Do Not Worry, drive the enemy out of your promise land
Hallelujah declare I will not worry!
I declare that I will be anxious for nothing
I choose to stand on the Word of God and walk in supernatural faith. The peace of God stands
guard over my mind and heart
I declare my mind is in perfect peace.
I declare I walk in the supernatural peace of God
