Assignment)
📌 Project Overview

You are an archaeologist who has just discovered the remains of a previously unknown
civilization. Your job is to reconstruct what life was like in this civilization by designing its
key features.

This project can be completed at home using paper, markers, or digital tools.

Requirements
Your project must include all 7 components of civilization:

1. Government & Laws

○ Who rules? (king, council, democracy, theocracy?)

○ What is one law or rule that keeps people in order?

2. Religion & Belief System

○ What gods, spirits, or beliefs do your people follow?

○ How do they worship (temples, rituals, festivals)?

3. Social Structure

○ What are the social classes? (leaders, workers, farmers, soldiers, slaves?)

○ Who has the most power? Who has the least?

4. Writing & Record-Keeping

○ What does their writing look like? (invent your own script or symbols).

○ What do they write down? (laws, trade records, stories?)

5. Arts & Architecture


○ What does their art look like (paintings, sculptures, music)?

○ What is one important building or monument they built?

6. Technology & Innovation

○ What invention makes life easier (tools, farming methods, ships, weapons)?

○ How does it help the civilization survive?

7. Cities & Infrastructure

○ Draw or describe the layout of the main city.

○ Do they have roads, markets, walls, farms, aqueducts?

Project Options
Choose ONE way to show your civilization:

● Illustrated Poster: Draw a map of your city and label its features, plus notes on the 7
components.

● Creative Booklet: Make a mini “field guide” to your civilization, with 1 page for each
component.

● Digital Presentation: Create a slideshow with 1–2 slides per component.

● Story Format: Write a short story about a day in the life of a citizen that shows each
component.
