Lesson Plan: Module III - Succeeding on the Job

Lesson Overview
This module helps students understand what success means to them in the workplace by focusing on four key
employability skills: Self-Control, Communication, Social Skills, and Higher Order Critical Thinking. Through
simulations, games, role-plays, discussions, and group activities, students will explore professionalism, workplace
safety, and effective communication strategies.

Lesson Objectives
By the end of this module, students will be able to:
1st Define Professionalism: Identify and articulate key professional values, attitudes, and behaviors needed for
success in the workplace.
2nd Understand Workplace Rights: Recognize their rights and responsibilities as employees and identify
ways to ensure safety and health in the workplace.
3rd Manage Time and Stress: Develop strategies for effective time management and stress reduction to balance
work and personal life.
4th Communicate Effectively: Practice and refine communication skills, including active listening and
assertiveness, and understand the role of technology in communication.

Session Breakdown

Session 7: Being a Professional
