 HALCYON DIVE SYSTEMS

H
alcyon’s highly efficient diving systems result from a detailed focus on minimalism, streamlining,
and carefully positioned system components. A long, narrow wing perfectly balances the buoyant
cell along the diver’s body, greatly enhancing stability and streamlining. Meanwhile, ballast
components distribute weight much nearer a diver’s center mass, where they create superior balance
and heavily influence the diver’s horizontal position, reducing drag and notably decreasing effort.
This high-performance focus creates the “technical” appearance of our equipment, but “technical”

really just means “purpose built”; in this case, the purpose is to provide the absolute best possible
diving experience. At the heart of every system is our signature harness and backplate. This infinitely
adjustable system provides a stable, form-fitting platform and accommodates a variety of single- and
double-tank buoyancy configurations. The custom-tailored “wings” promote a vastly superior diving
position, encouraging horizontal position with an exceptionally streamlined form factor.

CINCH™ QUICK-ADJUST HARNESS

The Halcyon Cinch™ Quick-Adjust Harness sets a new standard
in recreational and technical BC systems, allowing rapid harness
adjustments without “quick-release” buckles or dangling webbing.
A simple push or pull on the webbing and your size adjustment
is complete. The Cinch™ is ideal for student training, rental
departments, and divers with suits of varying thickness.

SELECTING A HALCYON INFLATABLE

H
alcyon offers a variety of Lift Devices and Surface Markers, allowing divers to select the best
option for their particular environment. Divers in calm conditions and/or on shallow dives often
choose a small Halcyon surface marker so the boat can easily identify their position. In rough or
unpredictable seas divers may carry a slightly larger inflatable, which increases visibility.
Halcyon open bottom SMBs are very simple designs with a low profile (because they do not need an
OPV valve installed); however, these designs are slightly more prone to tipping, which can induce a loss
of gas while at the surface. Halcyon closed-circuit bags eliminate the risk of gas loss at the surface and
provide optional surface flotation but must be filled orally or with a low-pressure inflator hose.

EXPLORATION

RB80™
Rebreather
Halcyon’s extremely intuitive and reliable RB80™ operating system eliminates
distractions and reduces failures that can mean the difference between a
mission’s success or failure. The Halcyon rebreather supplies breathing gas
as required by the diver’s respiratory rate. Gas replenishment is mechanically
triggered by the diver’s breathing cycle so that a compromise in supply is obvious
and immediate. This mechanical system is less prone to failure and easier
to operate as compared to complex, electronically controlled rebreathers.

HALCYON TECHNICAL SERVICES

If you experience any issues with your Halcyon gear, we encourage you to contact your authorized Halcyon
dealer or Halcyon’s Tech Services department with your questions. Unauthorized modifications/repairs,
negligence, accidental damage, commercial use, or abuse are not covered by the Halcyon warranty.

MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

HALCYON SERVICES

Halcyon does not require any authorizations for warranty repair; however, before sending any Halcyon
equipment back for a warranty claim, please be sure to print and complete the Halcyon Repair
Form and a photocopy of the purchase receipt for your Halcyon product. If you have any questions,
please contact Tech Services before sending your product (techservices@[Link]).

THE HALCYON WARRANTY

Halcyon offers the original purchaser a one-year manufacturer’s warranty against material and
workmanship defects on all of its products. Beyond this standard coverage, Halcyon also offers the
original purchaser two separate lifetime warranties, one covering all RF-welded seams used in the
construction of BC bladders and surface signaling and lift devices, and the second covering Halcyon’s
Explorer™ and Proteus™ light canisters. In order to maintain both the one-year manufacturer’s warranty
and the lifetime warranty (where applicable), the original purchaser must retain their sales receipt.

Certain items, such as NiMH and SLA batteries, are covered by a 90-day conditional warranty that commences
on the date of customer purchase. Following Halcyon’s recommended use and service guidelines provided in the
manuals is essential in extending the practical lifetime of expendable items such as batteries and light bulbs.

Halcyon provides an owner’s manual with key products when they ship from the factory. Following the
directions in these manuals will ensure a lengthy service life while maintaining peak performance.

The Halcyon warranty is a global warranty. As long as the customer has a valid sales receipt from an
authorized Halcyon dealer, the warranty extends to all countries and shops, regardless of where the item was
purchased. Any authorized Halcyon dealer can handle warranty returns to the factory with a valid receipt.

Unauthorized modifications/repairs, negligence, accidental damage, commercial use, or abuse

are not covered by the warranty. Floods, leaks, punctures, and broken bulbs, etc., are not covered
by the warranty unless they are the direct result of a material or workmanship defect.
