STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Preface
Keeping a holistic view of health, society has begun to view good health as an essential
factor. Indeed the world’s epidemic COVID- 19 has also tutored us that bone should no way
suppose doubly ahead investing time and plutocrat in matters of physical and internal
well- being as nothing is beyond life and this consummation has given a huge boost as well
as demanded attention to this booming sector. Some of the major advancements in the
realms of healthcare that are heard- to- ignore in a massive country like India are an
increase in life expectation from 64 to 68, defeating a battle against polio, and a decline in
child mortality rate from 57 deaths per,000 live births to 37. India has entered a new period
in public health. The number of croakers has increased from0.83 million in 2010 to1.27
million in 2021, the country still is in demand of well- trained medical professionals. The
government is taking active way to promote healthcare, further aiming to make healthcare
services more affordable and accessible to everyone. All these data serve as evidence of the
fact that the Healthcare sector has been growing at a fast pace in India and has surfaced as
one of the largest sectors both in terms of profit and employment. piecemeal from this,
India offers the most affordable healthcare services compared to Asian and Western
Countries. structure on these aspects and taking forth my dreams it's my intention to pursue
a Master’s in Public Health in order to be a force for good and help society. Academic
accomplishments and work exposure After completing grade 10 in 2015 with66.71 from
Cambridge International Examination, I decided to enroll in the wisdom sluice with Biology.
I completed my grade 12 in 2017 with a60.14 score from Cambridge International
Examination. After that, I decided to pursue a Bachelorette of Science from Khyati Institute
of Science, Gujarat University and completed it in 2022 with61.7. After studying for my
Bachelor’s degree, I did several externships and worked as Lab Technician in Dhanvantry
Pathlogy Laboratory, Gandhidham from 20th November 2020 to 01st August 2022 as
endless hand. There I learned patient operation and ethics. My assigned duties and
liabilities were to manage the Lab and assign Workloads like examine slides and identify
groups of microbes similar as Prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Conducting colorful clinical test
similar as Blood grouping with different antigens( A, O, B, AB). Conducting trials under
defined conditions to corroborate reject colorful types of suppositions using refined
scientific styles. I also performed introductory procedures and supported on major
procedures. I've taken the IELTS test and scored overall6.0 bands. Each module score is as
Writing –6.0, Speaking –6.5, harkening –6.0, and Reading –5.5).

Why Masters in Public Health?
I was undergoing training for my Bachelor of Dental Surgery when Covid -19 pandemic
struck. Placed on the frontline as a medical professional I saw firsthand the devastating
impact of the pandemic and the importance of policy making and operational expertise
required in maintaining public health. It was at that point I decided that I wanted to play a
role in the process. To obtain the same I understood it essential for me to opt for formal
education and a Master’s in Public Health sits perfectly with the goal. A Master’s degree will
not only supplement my knowledge of healthcare for large populations but will allow me to
acquire insights into the day-to-day administrative processes within the healthcare industry.
I am eager to serve my social welfare propensity and a Public Health degree fits this
aspiration perfectly; I will delve into the core areas dealing with Public Health and therefore,
emerge as an expert in the field. Post master’s, I wish to work with leading healthcare
organizations, solve complex healthcare issues, and contribute significantly to this industry
that is in dire need of healthcare workers. The Master’s in Public Health degree will allow
me to integrate research and practice skills and allow me to inculcate diverse perspectives
of public health through rigorous training and exciting field opportunities. The
comprehensive 42-credit program aims to offer in-depth knowledge equally focusing on
both practical and theoretical aspects. Inclined towards Global Health, Epidemiology,
Nutritional Sciences, Public Health Genetics, Health Systems, and Population Health, the
course will consolidate the existing knowledge with the new information, essential to
master the new advancements in the field of healthcare. I will further utilize my knowledge
to empower others and eradicate public health issues. I will develop advanced knowledge
and skills in critical analysis of evidence, complex theories, problems, and concepts
regarding social, economic, environmental, and political determinants of health. It will
enhance my abilities to create, plan, and evaluate public health approaches to health
problems. Critiquing applying contemporary public health approaches in work-related
environments and practice. Additionally, I will familiarize myself with research principles,
methodologies, and methods applicable to public health theory, policy and practice.
Career Prospects with this course
I aim to utilize the gained skills, knowledge, and potential to secure a professional career in
the areas of public health and further envision myself as a Public Health Project Manager,
Health and Safety, Healthcare Consultant, Public Health Educator, Epidemiologist, and
Health Informatics Specialist. There is great demand for qualified professionals in the
private and Government sectors along with international organizations such as the
WHO, UNICEF, FHI, Access, UNDP, and CARE. With the aim to improve the citizens’ lives and
ensure overall national development, the course will provide me with a starting salary of
around INR 10-12 lacs annually. That is further expected to rise with the experience and
within the span of 4 years, I will be able to cross the bar of INR 15 lakhs per annum along
with employed with some senior positions.
