2026 CALENDAR OF EVENTS
 Service & Philanthropy
Members of the Dallas Alumnae Club have been busy with
Service & Philanthropy! In November, our alumnae enjoyed serving a
traditional Thanksgiving Lunch to 4th grade students at the West
Dallas Community School. As part of the celebration, students
colored a placemat and answered the question, "What are you
thankful for?" Being thankful for teachers was a favorite response
with family and pets being a close second. Of course, the best
part of the celebration was the food; turkey, dressing and all the
trimmings. To top off the event, the students gave a stunning
recitation of Paul Revere’s Ride, and Pi Phi gifted each student a
book of their own to take home. The students look forward to this
celebratory lunch event and talk about it all year! Thank you to Michelle
Scudder and Stephanie Briggs who coordinated this celebration!

Coming in February, the Dallas Alumnae Club will focus on our

signature literacy event, the Champions Are Readers program. CAR
is Pi Beta Phi's unique reading enrichment program for 3rd grade
students. Pi Phi volunteers will participate in an interactive once a
week reading and mentoring experience with the children at the
West Dallas Community School, concluding with a festive celebration!

We’re so excited to kick off the spring season with you all. As your co-presidents, we—Margaret Chambless and Caroline
Reed—are thrilled to have you join us and can’t wait to make the most of these spring months together.

This spring, we have some exciting events planned, including a floral arranging class led by Rachel Reid, a meaningful
service project, a fun joint Monmouth event (details to be announced), and a May send off event for the summer. Whether
you’re new to Dallas or simply ready to enjoy the season, this is the perfect way to stay connected to Pi Phi and make great
memories in the process.

Happy 2026! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed "Ring Ching-ing" in the New Year.

The Shining Arrows had a fabulous fall filled with friendship and fun. We kicked things off with Wine & Shine
featuring The Savvy Spoon, where we learned how to build beautiful (and delicious) charcuterie boards. We also
loved Trick-or-Treating at the SMU Pi Beta Phi house and wrapped up the season with Pictures with Santa to
officially kick off the holidays.

We are excited to hop into spring and cannot wait for our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28. We hope to
see you there for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and sisterhood.

 September Joint Kick Off Meeting
Dallas Angels kicked off the fall season with a festive fiesta on a beautiful fall evening in the lovely home of
Lindsay Billingsley. Greeted by a Mariachi band on the front patio upon their arrival, guests were treated to a
fun-filled evening complete with a delicious Tex-Mex dinner and Margaritas. A festive and fun time was enjoyed
by all angels in attendance. Immense gratitude goes to hostesses Lindsay Billingsley, Julianna LeBlanc and Katie
Samler.

Lele Sadoughi Event
Dallas Pi Phis popped into the fabulous Lele Sadoughi store in Highland Park Village to mingle with each other and
designer, Lele herself! All enjoyed shopping her eye-catching collection of accessories and new line of official National
Panhellenic accessories. It was a special treat to shop the Go Greek collection featuring Pi Phi headbands, bows and
jewelry. Angels left with an extra sparkle on their wings!

Heavenly Homes Event

On October 21, over 50 angels gathered at the lovely home of Sterling Evans (TX Alpha) for “Heavenly Homes with
Heart,” a meeting about all things home! There was so much information shared on hospitality, design, inspiration, and
preservation! Moderated by Meredith Ferrell (TX Alpha) of Meredith Ferrell Group, the meeting featured speakers Cynthia
Collins (TX Alpha) of Collins Interiors who was the interior designer of the home and Christina Dandar of the Potted
Boxwood who serves on the board of directors of Preservation Park Cities. During the presentation, they discussed
the preservation of the Evans home, the use of classic design elements and architecture, the art of hospitality, and
the preservation of other historic homes in the area. Guests enjoyed touring the Evans’ beautiful home, which was
recently featured on the Park Cities Historic Home Tour.

 Mahjong Monmouth Duo
150 Pi Phis and Kappas of all ages united for the 2nd annual Mahjong Monmouth Duo at The Park City Club! Ladies enjoyed
passed hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktails, and a delicious buffet dinner. Participants had a festive time of sisterhood while
playing mahjong and winning fabulous prize packages, including full mahjong sets, custom playing mats, cups, hats, and
more! The Pi Phi co-chairs, Abby Ruth (TX Alpha), Amanda Shufeldt (TN Beta), and Kristina Wrenn (TX Beta) worked very
hard on this party and made the evening a BIG success! Special thanks also go to the businesses who generously donated
wonderful prizes, including a Southern Living Mahjong set from Dillards, Pi Phi and Kappa sorority-themed mahjong sets
from Mahjong Sisterhood (Oleta Salyards MO Beta) and travel cards from The Mahjong Line (Kate LaGere TX Alpha). A
lively Photo booth was generously sponsored by Mustang Cheer (Abby Ruth TX Alpha) and club photography by Carol Vig
Photography (TX Beta). Pi Phi co- presidents, Johannah Kersey (TX Zeta) and Meg McGonigle (TX Alpha) had a great time
getting to know the Dallas Kappa Alumnae Club president, Nicole Devlin (KKG MU) through the planning stages and the 3
above named co-chairs enjoyed working with Kappa co-chairs, Jackie Baker and Caterina Koval (both KKG TX A&M). Pi Phis
and Kappas look forward to this new annual event for their Dallas alumnae clubs!

 December Christmas Tea
All Pi Phis, including their mothers, grandmothers, daughters and sisters, were invited for holiday cheer and to welcome our
newest initiates at this year’s Christmas Tea. Our party chairs, Barbara Hunt Crow, Susie Weber Munson, Kathryn Munson
Beach, and Merry Munson Wyatt, created a festive Christmas mood at Barbara’s beautifully decorated home. Dave Tanner
entertained the guests with his happy piano music under the glorious and fragrant Christmas tree. Pi Phis from near and far
sipped tea and nibbled on finger sandwiches while the youngest girls enjoyed a hot chocolate bar and cookies. Pi Phis of
all ages kicked off the season with warm hearts, celebrating among old and new friends.

 Pi Phi Theater Tour 2025
What a time we had as 34 Pi Phis with their family and
friends jetted to The Big Apple to see three fabulous
Broadway Shows. Upon arrival, a welcome cocktail hour
was held in the Gold Bar at the Lotte Palace Hotel. It was a
great way to kick-off the trip as well as mix & mingle with
fellow attendees. The shows were a mixture of genre: The
Outsiders, a clash of two socio-economic groups and
how they navigate the complexities of self-discovery;
Death Becomes Her, an outrageously funny and vain
musical of friend rivalry and their desire to obtain eternal
beauty; Just In Time, a jukebox musical based upon the
life of Bobby Darin. The October weather was perfect
with much opportunity to shop, dine, sightsee and go to
museums, i.e. Christmas at Bergdorf Goodman, The Polo
Bar, Little Island, The Frick Collection to name a few. We
are so grateful to tour organizers Laura Kellogg and Julie
Macatee for planning a fabulous trip to remember!
