1. Solution to the teacher problems
a. The teacher doesn’t use media
One of the factor which influence in English teaching learning
process is using the media. In teaching for young learner is more
effective if the teacher use the media to support in teaching
learning activity, because the children like with everything which
is visual. Based on interview with an English teacher, Mrs.
Blandina Said :
“In the teaching learning process, I never use media, in fact in
English subject the media is show important to support the
students in learning English especially for speaking and listening
aspect but from the school, there is limited media that is support
for teaching and learning.”
The using for teaching or media can be video or audio materials
with how to make correct pronunciation as the example which is
student more interesting and understand easily.
If there is limited facilities from the school, the teacher can
prepare the instrument for teaching which taken from self
collection, as like phonetics’ picture or photo, and picture in the

flash cards.1 The teacher should have bring her own active speaker
that she can bring to the classroom, when she has pronunciation
materials, teacher can play audio or video how to correct
pronunciation with native voice and student could be try to imitate
the pronunciation.
b. The teacher doesn’t use specific method
Actually the use for certain method has an important role in
teaching learning process. To make the students do not confuse,
the teacher before should explain the method which used, as like
listen and repeat, listen and identify, see the pronunciation
differences between English native speaker and their dialect,
speaking in – pairs, group discussion, cooperative learning,
outdoor activity, watch movie, and listening english song.
By its, the students can not be borried, because the method is
full of variation.2
2. Solution to the students
a. The teacher does not use media
As we know in the text above, that media is so important in
teaching learning process. Using the media, the student should

understanding before, what the mean in the using it. As like the
teacher bring the phonetic picture or flash card, the student must
understanding before, what the teacher’s mean.
b. The teacher does not use specific method
In the teaching learning process, the student must understand
well with the method which used by the teacher. To avoid feel be
borried, the students given the variation methods by the teacher,
before use it, the student should ask what the teacher method
which used.

a. Linguistic Problem
1. Students problem in vocabulary
The students can be given by the teacher in the learning
vocabulary, by understanding English material, translate English to
Indonesia, arranging of partly sentence, dictation, answer the
question based on the text and memorize the English vocabulary.
2. Students problem in pronunciation
The student can be given by the teacher in learning
pronunciation by pronounce the English word, imitation, correct
the students pronunciation, and distinguish of one each other
pronunciation.

1. An analysis on the teachers problems
a. The teacher doesn’t use media
Media is one of the dominant factor which influence in this teaching
learning process. It can be gotten from the school or the teacher self. The
school doesn’t prepare the media, visual or non visual media, and from
the teacher self he doesn’t creative, then in teaching use imitation by the
book only.
b. The teacher doesn’t use specific method
Method is one of the technique in teaching. In teaching, the teacher
should has the method. But here, the researcher got many problems from
the teacher, he doesn’t use specific method.
2. An analysis on students problems
1. Pronunciation
a. Pronounce the English Words
Most of them also have serious problem in the pronounce the
English language are different with words, English is not their
native language for them.
b. Imitate/repeat English Pronunciation
There are many students are feel difficult to repeat English
pronunciation because it is different with Indonesia.

c. The Teacher Corrects the students Pronunciation
The teacher states that he always makes to correct if students
are false to pronoun. They will more understand with something
that caused false, they will always remember how to say the good
pronunciation.
d. Distinguish of one each other Pronunciation
Based on interview with them, they feel confuse to distinguish
of one each other pronunciation, nothing hear before and
commonly, the English written words are similar but different on
alphabet pronunciation.
b. Non Linguistic Problem
b. Study English at home
Only three students are do not study English at home.
Based on interview with them they are lazy to study English
because it is very difficult to be understood.
c. Ask to the teacher about their problems
Most of them always ask to the teacher about their
problem, they say that it is opportunity to them so they will
understand the material, because only a few people understand
about English.

d. Difficult if the teacher explains with many methods
Difficult to receive the lesson if the teacher explains with
many methods, they feel confused.
2. Sociology
a. The teacher use media
All of students said that the teacher never use media in
teaching learning process.
b. The teacher use many methods
Most of them said that the teacher use many methods. It is
caused to make the students will not boring but the students are
confused.
c. The Parent ask to study at home
Only a few that their parents ask to them to study at home. In
the writers observation their parents consider that English
language is not the most important subject.
d. Do the home work together
Most of them do not d the home work together. They prefer
do by their selves than together. The first year (52,9%) the
second year (36,8%), the third year (56%), It caused by the
distance of their home is far for each other.

e. Look for a helping to do home work
There are many students state that they look for a helping to
do the homework. It caused that they feel very difficult in
learning English.
