about it?”
Discuss a few examples like YouTube, school website, or
educational games.
Teaching Steps 1. Elicit
● Ask students what they already know about websites. Note responses
on the board: “What is a website?” “What do you do there?”

● Show a short animated video: “What is a Website?” – briefly explains
websites, types, and domains.
3. Explore
● Display printed examples of real websites (school, store, blog). Ask:
“What is this site used for?” “Who visits this site?”

Teach:
● Website = a group of connected web pages
● Purpose = share info, sell things, learn, entertain
● Audience = who the site is for (e.g. students, shoppers, gamers)
● Domain Name = web address (e.g. [Link]) – explain
parts: “www” + name + extension
5. Elaborate
● Describe or draw how domain names would look on a sample website.
● Group work: Match domain to website type
6. Evaluate
Oral quiz:
● “Give an example of a domain name.”
● “Why do websites have different audiences?”
● “What is the purpose of a school website?”
7. Extend
● Ask students: “If you could make your own website, what would it be
about? Who would visit it?” Have them sketch the homepage on paper.
Challenging activity for students Students do the practical activity given by the teacher at the end of the lesson.

Have students fill out a simple template:
