1. How did you first get started with online gaming, and what keeps you interested
in playing today?
I started to play online games for entertainment and a way to relax from school
works and a way to relieve stress from school pressure.
2. How does the competitive nature of online games influence the way you analyze
information or make quick decisions?
It make me give more attention to things and analyse something first before
doing something making me think more before doing something making me make
better choices because I think of the possible outcomes of my decisions.
3. How do you react when you encounter a complex problem or a difficult
hero/enemy in a game that you cannot immediately solve?
It makes me think and plan for my next moves that I will be doing as I analyse
the possibilities of what I could to to have better outcomes and be able to do it
effectively and efficiently with less time and effort put into.
4. How have you noticed your approach to problem-solving in real life change since
you started playing online games regularly?
I started to think more before doing things as I analyse it thinking if it will
benefit me or not and look for other possible options I could take when I come
across dead end’s making a path for a more effective and efficient answer to my
problems.

1. How did you first get started with online gaming, and what keeps you interested
in playing today?
Nagumpisa ako nung pandemic, since bored sa bahay, nag browse ako ng
games na pwedeng laruin at nakita ko ang Mobile Legends at Call of Duty Mobile
(CODM) tapos ayun dun ako nagumpisa na maglaro ng online games. Dahil na
engganyo ako sa paglalaro mas lalo akong naging interested at naging hobby ko
na rin siya.
2. How does the competitive nature of online games influence the way you analyze
information or make quick decisions?
Overtime nasanay ako sa maps and attacks ng kalaban, kaya kapag may na-
eencounter ako na ganon eh nao-overthink ko siya or nape-predict ko agad ang
mga gagawing galaw ng kalaban sa game.
3. How do you react when you encounter a complex problem or a difficult
hero/enemy in a game that you cannot immediately solve?
Sa una naiinis ako kasi may mas magaling sabakin, tapos nagca-camp ako saka
ko sya gugulatin ng attack para makabawi.
4. How have you noticed your approach to problem-solving in real life change since
you started playing online games regularly?
Well since sa game lagi akong nag pe-predict ng mga actions, nagagmit ko sya
in real life lalo sa mga gagawin kong actions, iniisip ko rin muna kung ito ba ay
makakaganda o makakasama.
Zafe, Jamilla Aisha (HUMSS)
1. How did you first get started with online gaming, and what keeps you interested
in playing today?
I started when I was influenced by my Tito and my Cousins actually, they are
almost the same age as me so madali na makilaro with them. They made me
download Mobile legends as if they are sponsoring it. Around that time, I get to
be interested na rin talaga to play since buhat naman nila ako lagi sa laro and is
kept on winning, so it kinda made me want to explore more. So I stayed, and still
played with them until midnight just to abot the highest rank.
2. How does the competitive nature of online games influence the way you analyze
information or make quick decisions?
Based on my understanding of the question, online games have had a huge
influence on me. I’ve become competitive in real life because of how competitive
I am in-game. However, gaming hasn’t really changed how I analyze information.
While I analyze game rules deeply, that doesn’t necessarily make me more
attentive to real-life situations. It also hasn’t changed my decision-making. For
example, in Mobile Legends, you have to make quick choices during hero
selection, but that doesn’t make me a faster decision-maker in reality. It doesn’t
influence my daily life; I still prefer to analyze things thoroughly rather than
making snap judgments.
3. How do you react when you encounter a complex problem or a difficult
hero/enemy in a game that you cannot immediately solve?
For this question, I always react immediately when playing, choosing to either
play safe, defend my tower, or go on the offensive to defeat my opponent. It isn’t
actually that hard; I just need lang naman to react quickly and collaborate with my
teammates so we can win. Even if I get defeated, I don’t back down naman eh. I’d
rather play again and push for a comeback to ensure a better outcome for the
game.
4. How have you noticed your approach to problem-solving in real life change since
you started playing online games regularly?
I have always been capable of solving my own problems naman eh, and
gaming hasn’t really changed that. I haven’t noticed an improvement in my
problem-solving skills since I started playing Mobile Legends regularly. I still
approach challenges using my own methods, without any real connection to my
gameplay.
Jared Dumael (ICT)
1. How did you first get started with online gaming, and what keeps you interested
in playing today?
That was a time that I started using the internet and the first time I played
video games on my phone but for online games not on my phone then it was when
I was 6-7 I started going to a computer shop to play games. And for today I get
interested in playing games when im bored or have free time.
2. How does the competitive nature of online games influence the way you analyze
information or make quick decisions?
It makes me analyze what I think is a better hero or character to counter what
they are using and to analyze what’s going on in the map to help my teammates.
3. How do you react when you encounter a complex problem or a difficult
hero/enemy in a game that you cannot immediately solve?
I look for opening to defeat the enemy and play slow so that I can analyze
where I think they are and when they are going to attack.
4. How have you noticed your approach to problem-solving in real life change since
you started playing online games regularly?
I use my solving skills in games in real life by also analyzing the routes where
its faster and has no sunblock like in game where I go to a route where enemies
don’t see me.
