“Athena and the Rain”

One morning, Athena was sipping her hot and sweet
chocolate drink.
The sky darkens.
Athena peeks out the window.
Soon raindrops began to fall.
Then she asked her mom “Mom, can I go outside and
play in the rain?”
“Okay, Athena, but don’t stay out too long” her mom
answered.
“Yes, mom I promised.”
She ran outside and raised her hands.
She twirled and giggled as the raindrops fell on her
face.
Her clothes got wet, starting to feel cold- but she didn’t
mind.
Athena was delighted by the rain. She can’t stop
herself from so much joy.
Suddenly, she heard her mom “Athena, come inside!”
“Okay mom, I’m coming” she replied.
After a while, she went back inside, still smiling and
hums a song while walking.
Let the learners read the story after the teacher.
