Study Methods
Natural Sciences:
The Feynman Technique - a method of learning that requires you to teach a concept in simple terms,
as if explaining it to a child.
Explain hard topics and problems like your explaining it to a grade 4 learner.
This will help you understand and remember topics you are struggling with.
The Pomodoro Technique – involves working in 25-min intervals with a 5-min break in between.
This helps you stay focused on those really long days when you are tired.
This can be adjusted to 50-min intervals with 10-min breaks in between
Spaced repetition – a method of reviewing content over time to gain a greater memory of the work.
You start by reviewing a topic a day, the same topic the next day, then over 3 days,
then over a week, then over two weeks.
This helps you remember your work instead of studying it over again.
The blurting method – this method involves writing everything down that you can remember of a
topic.
This takes long but makes the topic really stick!
This method is done at the end of studying.
