Topic 1: Hobby

1. Do you have the same hobbies as your family members?

Honestly, not really. My father is a big fan of football, while I prefer more quiet activities. However, I do
share a love for cooking with my mother; we both enjoy trying out new recipes on the weekends.
2. Do you have a hobby that you’ve had since childhood?
Yes, I’ve been into drawing since I was a primary student. It started with just doodling in my notebooks,
but now it has become a great way for me to unwind after a stressful day.
3. Did you have any hobbies when you were a child?
When I was little, I was really obsessed with playing hide-and-seek with the neighborhood kids. Besides
that, I also spent a lot of time collecting stamps, which was quite a popular trend back then.
4. Do you have any hobbies?
Absolutely! In my spare time, I’m quite keen on photography. I love wandering around the city to capture
beautiful moments of daily life.

Topic 2: wimming
1. What’s the difference between swimming in the pool and swimming in the sea?
I think the main difference is the water condition. Swimming pools are usually chlorinated and calm,
while the sea has saltwater and unpredictable waves, which is more challenging.
2. Where do people in your country like to go swimming?
In Vietnam, people usually flock to public swimming pools. However, during the summer, coastal cities
like Nha Trang or Da Nang are top-rated destinations for beach lovers.
3. Is it difficult to learn how to swim?
Not really, if you have a good instructor. It might be a bit intimidating at first, but once you master the
breathing techniques, it becomes quite natural.
4. Do you like swimming?
To be honest, I'm a big fan of swimming. It’s not only a great way to keep fit but also a perfect activity to
cool down during the scorching hot days of summer.

Topic 3 Friends
1. Would you invite friends to your home?
Definitely! I love hosting small gatherings. It’s much more intimate to chat and cook together at home
rather than going to a noisy coffee shop.
2. Do you prefer to spend time with one friend or with a group of friends?
It depends on my mood. If I want a heart-to-heart talk, I’d prefer meeting one close friend. But if I’m in
the mood for fun, hanging out with a group is much better.
3. Do you have a friend you have known for a long time?
Yes, I have a best friend named Nam. We’ve been inseparable since primary school, which is over 10
years now. We know each other inside out.
4. What do you usually do with your friends?
We usually grab a coffee and catch up on our lives. Sometimes, we go to the cinema or go window-
shopping at the mall on weekends.
5. Where do you often meet each other?
Most of the time, we meet at local cafes because they have a nice ambiance. Occasionally, we meet at the
park if we want to get some fresh air.
6. How important are friends to you?
They play a pivotal role in my life. Friends are the ones who support me through thick and thin, and life
would be very boring without them.

Topc 4: Books and reading habits

1. Which do you prefer, reading books or watching movies?
I lean more towards reading books. I feel that books allow me to use my imagination to visualize the
scenes, whereas movies provide everything visually.
2. Have you ever read a novel that has been adapted into a film?
Yes, I've read 'Harry Potter'. While the movies were visually stunning, I still think the books are much
more detailed and give more depth to the story.
3. Are your reading habits now different than before?
Definitely. In the past, I used to read mostly comic books. But now, I’m more interested in self-help
books to gain more knowledge for my career.
4. Do you often read books? When?
I try to read every day, usually for about 30 minutes before hitting the sack. It helps me relax and sleep
better.
5. Do you read more or less now than when you were younger?
Sadly, I read less now because of my hectic schedule. When I was a student, I had plenty of free time, but
now I can only manage a few pages at a time.

Topic 5 Evening time

1. Do you like the morning or evening?
I’m definitely a night owl, so I prefer the evening. It’s the time when I can finally relax and have some
time for myself after a long day.
2. What do you usually do in the evening?
My evening routine usually involves having dinner with my family, then binge-watching a series on
Netflix or scrolling through social media.
4. What did you do in the evening when you were little? Why?
When I was a kid, I mostly spent my evenings doing homework and then watching cartoons. My parents
were quite strict about my bedtime.
5. Are there any differences between what you do in the evening now and what you did in the past?
Yes, a lot. Now I have more freedom to go out late with friends, whereas in the past, my evenings were
more structured around school.
6. Do you spend your evenings doing the same things on both weekends and weekdays? Why?
Not really. On weekdays, I focus on resting. But on weekends, I often stay up late to go to parties or
watch movies since I don't have to wake up early the next day.
