FACTS/TIPS:

A simile is a figure of speech that directly compares two different things using the words
"as" or "like." Authors may use similes to put clear images into a reader‟s mind.
PRACTICE EXAMPLES Underline the simile in each sentence. Say what things are
being compared.

Comparison: Size of bag and elephant.

ABC!” She felt as bright as a button and told everyone about her day.
