Objective:​

essay that vividly describes a place, person, or object using sensory details, adjectives, and
figurative language.

Instructions:

1.​ Choose one topic:


○​ A place (e.g., park, market, school, beach)
○​ A person (e.g., family member, friend)
○​ An object (e.g., a special item, pet, gadget)
2.​ Plan your essay using the five senses:
○​ Sight: What does it look like?
○​ Sound: What can you hear?
○​ Smell: What scents are present?
○​ Taste: Are there any tastes associated?
○​ Touch: How does it feel?
3.​ Follow the essay structure below to organize your 5 paragraphs.
