I have honour and pleasure to introduce to you
this report which consists of what has been
entirely and intensively practiced during the
Industrial training that I have underwent for a
period of 7 weeks at Ssembatya Auto fabrication
and Garage Mubende opposite Jamiz Hotel
alongside Mubende Kampala Highway .

ABSTRACT
Project is submitted in partial fulfillment of
requirement for the award of the activity done
during the project.
Absence of specialized tools for handling some
given work.
More use of manual labour instead of
machinery which was tiresome.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
Industrial training refers to the tendency of
Students leaving school or institute in order to get
a hint of how work is done in the field or outside
world from school . This enables them learn more
skills regarding their courses and also eases
planning.
My Industrial training was carried out at
Ssembatya Auto fabrication and Garage Mubende
opposite Jamiz Hotel alongside Mubende Kampala
Highway.
Activities done include;
 Engine service .
 Body alignment .
 Body welding .
 Car electronic system repair .
 Wheels and brakes service among others .
CHAPTER TWO
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
During my period of Industrial training at
Ssembatya Auto fabrication and Garage Mubende ,
the following are some of the gains that I was able
to obtain;
 Installation of vehicle wheels .
 Brake system repair .
 Engine flushing .
 Radiator inspection .
 Brake fluid refilling .
 Vehicle body alignment .
 Welding of vehicle body especially lorries .
 Welding of rear wheel axle assembly .
 Installation of both leaf springs and shock
absorbers among others.
CHAPTER THREE
Lessons learnt
The following are some of the lessons that I
was able to learn during the period of my
Industrial training at Ssembatya Auto
fabrication and Garage Mubende as listed
below;
 Proper time management .
 Proper handling of different customers .
 Analysing of a car fault by mire test driving
.
 Handling of different car repairs with ease
and faster .
 Mastering of different spanner sizes and
where to apply them .
 How to fit in a given society with ease.
Challenges faced
 Working for more than agreed hours in
order to acquire daily signature .
 Suffering from Gastric ulcers due to
delay of having lunch in time when work
is not yet done.
 Being bullied by the other illiterate
workers regarding me as a wiser Ker .
 Muscle fatigue due to lifting of heavy
vehicle spare parts .
 Limited safety measures at the work
place.
CHAPTER FOUR
Recommendation;
 Workers should be allowed to have
lunch in time to prevent likely diseases
.
 Safety measures should be put in
place to prevent injuries .
 Machinery should be hired to reduce
manual work which is tiresome hence
easing work.
Conclusion;
This project of Industrial training has
enabled me to learn how to do different
vehicle repairs and also handle different
people of different behaviours . I can now
diagnose most of vehicle faults and am
grateful for the Internship that I have
underwent for a period of 7 weeks.
