SECTION 5: THEORY QUESTIONS
1. Explain Slide Sorter View. Describe the steps to move a group of slides in this view.
Slide Sorter View displays all slides as thumbnails so that slides can be easily arranged, copied, or deleted.
Steps to move a group of slides:
1. Click View tab → Slide Sorter.
2. Hold Ctrl key and select the required slides.
3. Drag the selected slides to the new position.
4. Release the mouse button.
2. Define the term, Header.
A Header is the text that appears at the top of every slide, page, or document to show information like title or topic.
3. Describe the steps to group shapes in a slide.
1. Select all the shapes by holding Shift key.
2. Right-click on the selected shapes.
3. Click Group → Group.
4. The shapes are grouped as one object.
4. What do you mean by Slide Transition? Explain the steps to apply transition effect on a single slide.
Slide Transition is the effect that appears when one slide changes to another during a slide show.
Steps:
1. Select the slide.
2. Click Transitions tab.
3. Choose a transition effect.
4. Set duration or sound if required.
5. Describe the role of Animation in PowerPoint.
Animation is used to add movement to text, images, or objects on a slide to make the presentation attractive and
interesting.
6. Explain the concept of ‘Rehearse Timings’.
Rehearse Timings is used to record the time taken for each slide so that the presentation runs automatically with
proper timing.

1. Identify the slide layouts shown in the images.
• Top-Left Image: Two Content Layout
• Top-Right Image: Title Slide
• Bottom-Left Image: Slide Master View
• Bottom-Right Image: Title and Content Layout

1. Open the presentation.
2. Go to Slide Sorter View.
3. Select the slide.
4. Right-click → Copy or Delete as required.
