STYLESINOo WRITER
Run open office writer and create a new document.
Type the specific content you need.
Click styles and formatting from format menu or
press f11 key.
You can see various number of styles in that menu.

2 : You can create your own style by clicking

on to this.
1 : PARAGRAPHSTYLE:
A paragraph style includes both character and
paragraph formatting attributes, and can be
appliedto a paragraph or range of paragraphs.

6 :CHARCTERSTYLE:
A character style is a collection of character
formatting attributes that can be applied to text in a
single step.

:LIST STYLE:
The list-style-position propertyspecifies the

position of the list-item markers (bullet points).

Frame styles are used to format graphic and text
frames, including wrapping type, borders, backgrounds,
and columns

It edits the page size and view.

WAYSTOINSERT AIMAGE:
FIRST WAY:click on to picture option from insert
menu and click from file to choose your specified
file.

SECOND WAY: open drawing toolbar from view


menu and choose from file option to insert image.

THIRD WAY: copy or cut the specific image you


need and paste the image.

FROM FILE ICON:

CROPPINGANIMAGE:
select the image and click on to it
right click the image and click picture option.
It will open picture dialog. Click on crop tab and
specify crop setting in crop section.
Once done click ok.
See the below image.
KEEPSCALE:
If you choose Keep Scale,the graphic will be cropped to the
scales shown in the width and height boxes

KEEPIMAGESIZE:
If you choose Keep image size,the graphic will be cropped
and then enlarged to the original image size.

select the required image
you can see its properties on the right pane
you can either change brightness,contrast, color
mode,transparency.

WHAT ISAMAILMERGE?

Mail merge is a feature within most data processing


applications that enables users to send a similar letter or
document to multiple recipients.

It enables connecting a single form template with a data


source that contains information about the recipient’s
name, address and other predefined and supported data.

HOWTODO AMAILMERGE?
first create the body of the letter

Next click on mail merge wizard from tools menu:


steps to complete mail merge:

Select “use the current document”


you can select either letter or email message

Next step: is to create name and addreses:

click “select different address list”.


Create the name and address by clicking add option:
Next step:is to give saluation
you can enter your needed saluation:

you can adjust layout:

You can edit the whole docment you made:

You can edit you personalized document. ( not the whole
document)

you can save or print the document:
CREATE AND USE TEMPLATE
create a blank document.
Now add the effects for your template and go to
templates option from file menu and click save
option.
Now specify the name and save it under my
templates.
And select organize from templates under file menu.
Now select the created template and click on to set as
default templates from coomand option on the right.
You can delete the default template my going on to
organize and select reset default template option by
click on to command option.

You can also know the template properties and


preview by clicking on to templates and document
option under new option from file menu.
CREATING TABLE OF CONTENTS
firstly create a paragraph wit subtopics
second, go to insert menu and click indexes and
tables. A table will be appearing on the screen.
Edit the needed style you want and click ok

In index\table you can edit the name and type of the


document.
In entries you edit style of a specific character.
In styles you can do like paragraph styles etc.
In columns you edit the number of columns you
required.
In background you can add colours to the
background.
If you want to edit the table go to indexes and tables
from insert menu.

DATA CONSOLIDATION
firstly add the numerical values in spreasheets and
open consolidation from data and select
consolidation.

and select each cell address you want to add and


then click add.
Select the type of operation to be done and click ok
now your numericals output will be given according
to the type function you selected.
SUBTOTALS
firstly add all the numericals and values that need
to be subtotaled.
.
Click subtotals from data menu.
Then tabular column will be displayed and then
select the fields that need to be subtotaled.
Use function box to select the type of function that
need to be performed.
Now your subototals will be calculated immediately.
SCENARIO
firstly select the cells the contains values. To select
multiple hold ctrl key.
Then go to scenarios from tools menu.
Now, a dialog box will be displayed.
Enter a specific name for this scenario operation.
Click ok .
GOALSEEK
firstly enter the values in cells and go to goal seek
from tools menu.
Enter the target that need to be changed.
Enter the cell address in variable cell box and the
click ok.
