TEACHING SCRIPT – UNIT 8: WORKING HARD (LESSON 1)

OPENING
Good morning, everyone!
Today, our class is very happy to welcome the teachers who are visiting us.
Let’s give them a big clap!
Thank you.
Now, are you ready for our English lesson today?
Great! Let’s begin.

WARM-UP (5’)
Now, let’s play a game.
I will play some music. Please pass the ball around the class.
When the music stops, the student holding the ball stands up.
Look at the picture. Who are they?
What do they do?
Everybody, say it together!
Very good job!

TRANSITION
Wow, you know many jobs already!
Now, let’s learn more about what people do at work.

PRESENTATION (8’)
Look at the picture on the screen.
Who are they?
What do they do?
They catch thieves.
Listen and repeat.
They fly planes.
They grow food.
They help sick people.
They make bread.
They put out fires.
Do farmers grow food or fly planes?
Excellent!

ACTIVITY 1 – LISTEN AND NUMBER (5’)


Open your books, page 55.
Listen and number the pictures.
Check with your partner.
Let’s check together.

ACTIVITY 2 – ASAP GAME (7’)


Work in groups.
Look at the sentences on the screen.
You have 10 seconds to remember.
Now write the sentences.
The first group to finish says “Finish!”

PRODUCTION – ROLE PLAY (7’)


Stay in your groups.
Each group gets job cards.
