Title: Digital Fun Class: Boosting English Skills with Wordle and TikTok

1. Background

Everybody know that students now are more engaged with online platforms than traditional
classroom tools. Teachers need to adapt by integrating popular applications that not only
entertain but also educate. Two platforms that offer such opportunities are Wordle, a word
puzzle game that enhances vocabulary and reading comprehension, and TikTok, a short-
video platform that can develop listening and speaking skills through creative and authentic
English content.

This project aims to combine these two digital tools to create a more engaging and
meaningful learning experience for junior high school students. By using informal yet
educational media, students can learn English through fun, interactive, and real-world-based
activities.

8. Benefits of Using Digital Media

Using digital media like Wordle and TikTok makes learning more interactive and relatable to
students’ daily lives. Wordle encourages logical thinking and vocabulary recall in a game-
based format, while TikTok promotes creativity, communication, and listening
comprehension through real-world content.

Digital platforms also allow personalized learning—students can explore content at their
own pace—and help teachers create an engaging, student-centered classroom
environment. Moreover, integrating popular media bridges the gap between entertainment
and education, making students perceive English not just as a subject, but as a living
language they can enjoy and use.
9. Conclusion

The integration of Wordle and TikTok in English lessons provides an innovative and
enjoyable way to enhance students’ reading, vocabulary, and listening skills. By merging
educational goals with students’ favorite digital platforms, teachers can foster both
engagement and proficiency in language learning.

This project proves that learning English can be both fun and effective, turning everyday
digital habits into powerful educational experiences.
