MMW Script For Romance with math

Synopsis:
Two guys are fighting over a very alluring girl who they both find attractive. One of those
guys uses math as a means to measure the distance of how close each of them hold her
heart through triangulation and calculation. He finds that the other guy is seemingly
getting closer with the girl. So, he tries to put more effort to get her heart closer to him,
but his visuals only show her getting closer to the other guy. So, he leaves things linear.
A different girl approaches our mc, seemingly with red on her face. Our mc doesn’t seem
to notice from the way he sees things in mathematical shapes and equations. So, he lets
things be. He starts seeing a linear link between them two. However, he sees that the
thread is rather dark than the typical white, so he tries his best to leave the scene and
rest. By the time he comes back, he notices how the distance between the main girl and
the other guy is not close, but far rather. Eventually, main girl confesses to him straight
to the point, that she likes him. This makes him question, then she explains that she can
sense and feel manifestations of math from others, especially the mc as how he sees it.
She also explained that she seemed closer to the other guy, since she gets really shy
with people she likes, given her senses, she made it seemed the other way around since
she needed time to think about it until now, where she is ready to accept our mc. This
leaves the other dude not shocked as he was nonchalant that day, and he encounters
the other girl our mc encountered before and the story ends as she says hey there.

Characters:
Jed: -MC, a prodigy in math visualization

Script:
In the midst of a festival within a village the shape of a square, three people found
themselves rather magnetized to one another by a straight thread.

Jed (in his mind): I wonder who she is. I don’t know why I feel all fuzzy looking at her, but,
I gotta make up my mind first.

Jed decides to flip three coins while thinking

Jed: If I get three heads, I’ll approach her. Looking at the odds of 1 in 27, I’m way out of
her league.

Surprise! All three heads

Jed: Well, looks like I’ll have to go and approach her then.
Jed immediately follows through, approaching her

Jed: Hi! Uhh, I was wondering if you’d wanna go about this nice festival together? I’m Jed
by the way.

Alice: Well, sure, why not. I’m a little anxious all by myself either way. So, I appreciate it,
Jed heehe.

As they explore, Jed, starts feeling this linear link between them, shown through white
line. At the same time, it was getting late.

Alice: Hey, uhm, thanks for joining me around today. I really appreciate it a lot, but I
gotta go now. My roommate’s planning a movie marathon.

Jed: No worries, it’s my pleasure either way. Wait, what’s your name by the way?

Alice: Alice! It’s Alice

Jed: Aliceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~

Jed then turns around, with a big smile, knowing he found someone wonderful.

The day thus ends

The following day, the festival continues to thrive, so does Jed’s determination

He walks around the festival looking for Alice, only to find her going around with another
guy

Jed (in his mind): Alice? And who is that guy? I’m looking at a tri-angle over here!

Coincidentally, there is an invisible triangle connecting the three together

So, he approaches her, with the plan to fight for her heart

Jed: Hi, Alice. Glad to see you here again.

Alice: Hi there Jed, glad to see you too.

Pete: Girl, who is this? I haven’t seen you here before.

Jed: Hey there, bud. The name’s Jed. Nice to meet you

Pete: Nice to meet you, Jed. Why don’t we have some fun here at this festival? The three
of us?

Alice: Uhm, is that alright with both of you? That would be kind of-

Pete and Jed: Yeah, of course. No problem at all.

Alice: Uhmmm, alright? Just give me a sec.

Alice moves away for a bit to call her roommate for advice.
Eleanor: This is Hampshire Room 406. How can I help you?

Alice: Ellie, I’m in a tight spot right now and I need some advice to get through it.

Ellie: Hi, Alice. What could possibly have you, the genius, on a tight squeeze?

Alice: Two guys are fighting over me…..

Ellie: Okay sis, here’s the plan…

Eleanor grabs a pen and paper

Alice: mm hmm mm hmm mm hmm mm hmm. Alright. Ellie. I’ll do that then.
Thanks for the help. I owe you one.

Eleanor: You owe me nothin. Just follow your heart, sis.

Alice: Alright, guys. Let’s go around the village!

They do in fact, but it seems that through it all, Jed was instinctively trying to impress
Alice by being silly, while Pete was not even trying but somehow gets Alice hooked.

Pete: So that’s how seals are tiny nukes in the water.

Alice: Wow~ I didn’t know they were the bomb. That’s fascinating.

Jed (in his mind): My efforts are- not even that good?! Sucks! Looks like I’ll have to give it
up for now. Looking at the distance among us, I’m seeing how we all started with 10
units apart, totalling 30 units overall, I exerted a 0.7 units of effort to close the distance,
but how come I am 10.7 units away from her now? What is this b-

Pete: Hey man. You good?

Jed: Yeah man, what’s up?

Pete: You’ve been silent for a while now. Something on your mind?

Jed: Yeah… Just thinking about what I’ll have for dinner, since I live alone and all.

Alice: Really, you’re quite the man of your own I see.

Pete: That must be a bit hectic ain’t it? Having to shoulder a lot and all.

Jed: Not really, I usually handle it with ease really, It’s just… maybe I’m exhausted and
all.

Pete: I see.
Alice: hehe, uhm guys, look. It’s about time for me to go since it’s getting late now. I’ll go
ahead now, alright? Bye Pete. Bye Jed.

Pete: You into her?

Jed: Yeah man. She’s quite intriguing not gonna lie.

Pete: Heh, well it’ll take more than one crow to get her core.

Jed: What?

Pete: Oh nothing, She’s great. I’ll agree

Both guys agree to the sentiment, but Jed didn’t realize that Pete was also trying for
Alice, but he didn’t bother putting as much effort into all this as Jed was.

The following day, it was a series of trying to win Alice’s heart.

Jed: Look at this Spooky dance. *Does the spooky dance*

Pete: That’s silly man. Real good not gonna lie.

After another day of bonding, Jed notices that his efforts equate to .8 units but still, his
distance widened to 11.5 units while Pete was 8.5 units away from Alice.

Jed (in his mind): Oh lord, what is going on? I have to try harder next time!

And he tried again

Jed: Did you know that tomatoes are not vegetables, even corn? Strange how it goes
really.

Alice: Wait, really?

Jed: Yes, really

Alice was rather surprised of the fact.

Skip to the end of the day and Jed reflects on his progress

He was not 13 units away from Alice

The next day

Jed: “Sings Moon River”

Pete: Darn, I didn’t know you can sing.

Jed: I learned from some pals, so it’s thanks to them.

Pete: Dap it up, “does a backflip”

Alice: “stunned”

Skip to the end once more and this time Jed is 16 units from Alice

Jed (in his mind): Where am I going wrong with this? Am I that bad? Am I just outright
cringe? Where did I go wrong? “sigh” I need a breather.

The following day, Jed didn’t go to the festival. He sat alone by the park for hours, just
letting it all go away. Alice was curious to why, but Pete was not bothered at all.

Alice: Hi Pete! Nice to see you again. Have you seen Jed around? Seems like he’s not
here today.

Pete: Hey, uh, honestly, I don’t know myself either. I’ve been checking anything new with
the stalls to give it a try. Wanna join me? Sure

(The distance seemed to widen even as Jed was not around yet without him, it is
invisible)

Meanwhile:

Jed sulks by the swing, thinking deeply of the current predicament.

Jed: Sigh* Why are my efforts not working? What’s keeping me from going for her? Sigh*
Am I simply not good enough for someone like her? Maybe. Just maybe. I’m not in her
league, I guess…

He stares into the distance, frown on his face, distant eyes.

Mellanie: Hi there. Uh Helloooooooo? Moshi Moshi

Jed: Oh, hey there. Didn’t notice you there. How can I help you?

Mellanie: I noticed you’re in a bad position where you are right now?

Jed: What makes you think that?

Mellanie: I’m a psychologist, hehe

Jed: Well, nice try, I’m just thinking of stuff about life anyway. It’s been a bit rough for the
past few days. I’m trying to figure out what to do, how to get back on my feet.

Mellanie: hmm, well, what if those things you’re worrying about, are not real?

Jed: What?

Mellanie; What I’m saying is that, your emotions are giving you the false illusion that
your efforts are meaningless. In reality, everything is just going according to the natural
order of things. The only thing keeping everything in a deadlock is you succumbing to
your emotions. If you want to move forward, you have to cast the bad feelings away and
move forward, regardless of what will happen.
Jed: Yeah………….. You’re right……… I should probably let this go away now. I’m not
gonna get anywhere just sulking around here. In fact, whatever you just said got me
back in motion now. So, I’m grateful for you help, Ms?

Mellanie: Mellanie. My name is Mellanie, or you can call me Mell. : )

Jed: Thank you, Ms. Mellanie. I appreciate the help you offered today.

Mellanie: Well, I suppose you owe me one. Maybe you can join me in a nearby café, and
chat, talk about ourselves and just be there for hours. What do you say?

She proceeds to reach her hand out, asking Jed if he will agree to her deal. However, he
sees the emrgence of a red thread, slowly closing in on him at 1 unit a second, so he
makes his choice.

Jed: Well, here’s a thousand bucks for any coffee you want, Mellanie. I have somewhere
to be after all. Maybe another time when life isn’t such a hustle. Until then, farewell.

Mellanie: Until then, fellow sir…………….what a bummer. He won’t even budge. Well at
least he was generous to pay for coffee. Hehe

On the last day of the festival, Jed decides to attend, ready to face the reality that maybe
it’s not what he thought it was. This time, with no doubt in his head, for better or for
worse.

Jed is at the village festival, first looking at the distance.

Jed (in his mind): Aha! There you are, Alice. But wait, that’s strange, why is the line
between her and Pete 20 units? Last time I checked it was 4 units from her. What?? In
the world???

Alice, approaches Jed from behind, calmly greeting him.

Alice: Hi Jed

Jed: OH! Hi Alice. You startled me there. What’s up?

Alice: You can see things in a math type way right?

Jed: What do you mean? I just kind of visualize them.

Alice: Yeah, like that.

Jed: Well, what got you all curious about how I can see things in math?

Alice: Well, you see, I can see things the same way too. Ever since you approached me,
I’ve been noticing a white thread along our directions.
Jed: Interesting, though, how come the gap between us seemed all so off the past few
days?

Alice: Silly, I didn’t want to make it super obvious, but, I was starting to grow genuine
interest in you, but I didn’t want you to catch up just yet, so that time I took a breather
before hanging out with you and Pete, I got advice from my roommate about how to
handle it, but I decided to trust my instincts and invert your visuals.

Jed: Why did you have to do all that though?

Eleanor: Boi, you don’t know a single thing about girls, don’t you? This probably why you
been single til you met this Genius. “points to Alice”

Alice makes a nervous expression in response

Jed: Wh- No, that’s no- Nah you’re not wrong though, but, who are you?????????

Alice: Jed, this is Eleanor, my roommate

Eleanor: Hey there Mr. Genius. You can call me Ellie

Alice: Ellie, this is Jed.

Jed: Well nice to meet you, miss el.

Alice: AHEM! Anyway, back to what I wanted to say.

Alice approaches Jed, in sincerity

Alice: Jed, I like you. And I’m ready to say it to your face

Jed: Well, I like you too, and you’re well aware of that.

Alice: Well, we still have a lot to go through.

Jed: Probably a ton of stuff to test us if we’re committed, so

Alice and Jed: Wanna ditch this place and relax at a nice café?

Alice and Jed: Yeah sure! “Both shocked”

Eleanor: Relax, you two. Just got excited for a moment now, eh?

Alice and Jed: No, We did not! “Shocked”

Eleanor: Well, you two surprisingly have the same heart rate.

Alice: WHAT???

Elanor: I’m just kidding, HAHAHAHA. I just took the average of both your heart rates.
Jed: “Sighs” Nice try, El. Anyway, what Café are we going to?

Alice: It’s a surprise. You’ll find out when we get there. Hehe

Eleanor: Gurl, let’s go then, I’m all stiff just standing here.

Alice: Alright alright. Come on Jed, let’s go

Alice reaches out her hand to Jed. To that Jed responds

Jed: Sure, Alice, let’s go.

So they h- Nah they went to the Café, and pete was just standing on the same spot the
whole day.

Pete: “statue”

By then, they went to the café and with that, the village festival arc has come to an end.
