Greetings and Personal Introduction

Objective: Learn how to greet people and introduce yourself in English using basic
expressions.

Part 1 – Greetings in English

Greetings are words or phrases we use to say hello and be polite.

Formal Greetings: Informal Greetings: To say goodbye:


• Good morning • Hello • Goodbye
• Good afternoon • Hi • Bye
• Good evening • Hey • See you later
• How are you? • What’s up? • Take care

Activity 1 – Match the greeting (Relaciona con una linea los Saludos)

Match the greeting with the correct situation.

Student B answers and then switch roles.
