precautions will be taken up:
1) To avoid trespassing in to the working zone by existing traffic, it is
planned to provide barricades by the sides of the stretches without
affecting traffic.
2) The change over phase between new and existing zone will be
manned with flags, diversion posts, warning signs etc. Traffic will be
regulated between these stretches during construction with
engineer’s approval.

signboards, markings, flags and flagmen, for the safety of traffic
during construction will be provided as and when required with prior
general approval of engineer on situations arising at various sites.

besides the work site as per instructions of Engineer’s
representative.
5) When the pavement material removal is completed, any
drainage deficiency will be corrected. After that, the
base/sub base as the case may be will be cut, graded and
compacted to proper grade, cross section and profile.

crushed for reusing in lower layer of bituminous work or in
Service road.
7) Disposal of all non useful materials will be done from the
work site to the area allotted by the Engineer’s
representative.
2.2.1 Plant / Equipments, tools and tackles:
TOTAL QUANTITY 59752 m3
This total quantity of material would be catered in the following way,
Total peak quantity per month, as per construction schedule:
Dismantling material 13432m3
Considering 250 working hours per month, hourly progress required:
For works is 54m3/hr.
Equipment for dismantling work
Total quantity of dismantling work will be 54m3/hr
Production with Pavement Breaker per hour = 40m3
No. of breaker Required=54/40 = 1.35nos
Say 2nos.
Equipment for transporting of material:
Dumper of 20-ton capacity will be deployed to transport Dismantled material to
Plant Area.
Time cycle calculations:
Activity Time in minutes
Positioning &Loading 15.00
in to the Dumper
Travel time to & fro 50.00
Spot & Unload 05.00
Contingency 05.00
Total 75.00
Hence, hourly supply rate will be (10/75.00*60 = 8.00) 8.00 cum
Number of dumper required will be (54/8 = 6.71) say 8 nos.
