You can use this document as a template for this module’s activity: My interview playbook. To do this,
click on “File” in the toolbar and “Make a copy,” or download from the assignment link. For credit for
your learning log reflection, type your answers in this document and submit to your instructor through
the Module 9 assignment link by the end of the module.
Additionally, as noted earlier, I recommend that you save every BUS 109 learning log in one folder and
include a date in the file name to help you stay organized. After you finish your learning log entry, you
can come back and reread your responses later to understand how your opinions have changed or
developed, and to help inform the writing of your final self-assessment reflection paper.

After accessing the Big Interview website (link), click on “Interviews” at the top.
There you will see a link under the heading “LEARN” for “Interview Curriculum.”
After clicking on Interview Curriculum, select “Interview Playbooks,” where you will
see playbooks for a variety of life circumstances. For example:
● New Graduate
● Military Transition
● Resume/CV Gap, etc.
Choose any interview playbook that looks interesting or useful for you.

I chose the interview playbook designed for introverts. I selected it because I’m an
introvert. I appreciated that the playbook was created to help introverts succeed
without having to pretend to be extroverts.
2. What were the key parts of the selected interview playbook? Provide a

The key parts of the introvert interview playbook focused on preparation,
practice, and leveraging natural strengths like listening and thoughtfulness. It
outlined six best practices for introverts to approach interviews with more
confidence. These included preparing speaking points, practicing responses,
managing nerves, using energized and engaging language, and overcoming
the discomfort of selling oneself. The playbook also emphasized that
introverts can thrive in interviews by being authentic and strategic, rather than
trying to mimic extroverted behavior.
3. What were your top 3 take-aways from the selected interview playbook?

One of my top takeaways was the importance of preparing key speaking
points and practicing them, rather than memorizing full answers, so that
delivery feels natural and confident. Another key takeaway was that introverts
have valuable strengths, like being good listeners and coming across as
serious and thoughtful—traits that can be powerful in interviews when used
correctly. Lastly, I learned how useful it can be to use engaging language and
body language consciously, such as smiling and expressing excitement, to
better connect with interviewers and show enthusiasm without changing who I
am.
