why, which, and how. These questions are used to request information.
2. Types of WH-Questions

2. What - asks about a thing, idea, or action.
o What is your favorite food?
3. When - asks about time.

7. How - asks about manner, state, or degree.

o Variations: How often, How much/many, How long, How far, How old.
3. Forming WH-Questions
Structure: WH-word + Auxiliary Verb (do, does, is, are, etc.) + Subject + Main Verb

o Who do you want to invite to your party?
o What is her favorite movie?
o Where are they from?
o When does your roommate wake up?
o Why does he love the rainy days?

Without Auxiliary Verb: When "to be" is the main verb, use the form WH-word + "to
be" + Subject.

o How is he?
o How are your brothers
