Introduction: What is homelessness?
Homelessness is generally referred to as the lack
of a permanent or common residence that is
adequate enough to support the individuals
staying there.

million people are homeless, about 2
percent or 1 in 50 people.

The number one cause of homelessness throughout the
globe is housing affordability, this can be amplified by
low incomes and this combination can be a terrible
combination in countries that earn incomes by bringing
in tourists with a large budget. Smaller factors include
bad financial decisions through misled opinions,natural
disasters and politics or conflicts that can all displace
people.

is linked to homelessness as it is the leading
cause for homelessness. If someone had no
money than they are unable to afford
housing and therefore for they are
homeless.

How Could We
Help?
The event we could create could be a short 5
km run fundraiser with anyone being able to
take part. If it were to be a fundraiser we could
give out the money to those in need through
food and drink. It could also include job
opportunities by having it sponsored by local
businesses.

During the creation of this presentation I have developed my researching skills and time management skills (though
there is always room for improvement). This presentation has allowed me to look at the living condition of others
and put myself in their shoes and has made me more mindful of my own personal experience and more empathetic
to those in need,
Matthew:
During the creation of this presentation I was practicing some of the most important skills for life such as
researching and time management. Looking into homelessness has given me a new perspective and has made me
grateful for how lucky I am to have a roof over my head.
