Statement of the problem
Saltwater-powered batteries offer a promising and environmentally
friendly alternative to conventional batteries. This study seeks to evaluate
saltwater-powered batteries as a potential alternative to traditional batteries
for small-scale use. The study focuses on exploring the effectiveness and
performance metrics of the saltwater battery. It seeks to answer the
following questions:
1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Age; and
1.2 Gender?
2. What is the level of effectiveness in terms of the ability to power small
devices:
2.1 Durability;
2.2 Battery Performance; and
2.3 Efficiency?
3. Is saltwater a good option for replacing a regular battery’s electrolyte?
4. Is saltwater effective as an alternative electrolyte for batteries in small-
scale applications?
5. What suggestions can be proposed based on the results of the study?
Research Hypothesis
H₀: Saltwater is not an effective alternative electrolyte for small-scale
applications.
Hₐ: Saltwater is an effective alternative electrolyte for small-scale
applications.
