A square number is defined as any natural number that can be expressed as n², where n is a natural number. Properties of square numbers include their last digits being limited to 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, or 9, and the relationship between the unit's place of a number and the unit's place of its square. Additionally, triangular numbers can be formed using the formula n(n+1)/2, and the sum of two consecutive triangular numbers results in a square number.
