General Instructions:
i. The question paper comprises six Sections – A, B, C, D, E and F. There are 27 questions
in the question paper. All questions are compulsory.
ii. Section A – Question no. 1 to 12 are Objective Type Questions carrying 1 mark each.
iii. Section B – Question no. 13 to 17 are very short answer type questions, carrying 2
marks each. Answers to these questions should not exceed 40-60 words.
iv. Section C – Question no. 18 to 21 short answer type questions, carrying 3 marks each.
Answers to these questions should not exceed 80-100 words.
v. Section D – Question no. 22 to 24 are long answer type questions, carrying 5 marks
each. Answers to these questions should not exceed 100-120 words.
vi. Section E – Question no. 25 and 26 are source-based questions carrying 4 marks each.
Each question has three sub parts.
vii. Section F- Question no.27 is a map skill-based question carrying 3 marks. Map should
be attached with the answer sheet.
viii. There is no overall choice in the question paper. However, an internal choice has been
provided in a few questions. Only one of the choices in such questions has to be attempted.
ix. In addition to this, separate instructions are given with each section and question,
wherever necessary.
